"Former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave Mississippi gun owners 250,000 more reasons to vote for Chris McDaniel in the Republican primary run-off election." -- Tim Macy, vice chair, Gun Owners of America
Democrats from pro-gun states are telling former AZ representative Gabrielle Giffords to stay away.
Senator Harry Reid says he may call for a vote on so-called "universal background check" legislation. He doesn't expect it to pass, but the ploy would highlight differences between the two parties.
Tonight -- Larry Pratt, head of the Gun Owners of America organization, joins us to discuss the constant attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights and the stunning defeat of Eric Cantor, the Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, to GOA-supported David Brat.
And... recapping the IRS hearings.
There's a lot of talk on the Radical Right, that the Tea Party wants to break away from the Republican Party. With Tea Party far right challenger, Chris McDaniel, unsuccessfully challenging incumbent US Senator Thad Cochran in Mississippi, the Right is slowly but surely self destructing. Former Vice President Dick Cheney, House Speaker John Boehner and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann heavily criticising President Barack Obama on just about everything. Are we seeing the beginning of the end of the Party of Lincoln & Ike?
The GOP is bankrupt of ideas as the President continue to frustrate them on every turn. Democrats actually want to get some meaningful work done in terms of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, Infrastructure, Education, Health Care, etc. and move America forward positively. Republicans don't! They want to sue the President. What next? Try to impeach him? The GOP has turned into a joke and has become irrelevant in 21st Century America.
Join us as we talk about this and much more tonight. Are you ready for Mid-Terms 2014 and what can we do collectively to see to it that Democrats get a majority in both chambers of the US Congress? The Koch Brothers have committed $300 million to this election cycle trying to buy our Government. We've beaten them twice before and we'll beat them again!
Author for "WRAPPED IN THE FLAG: A PERSONAL HISTORY OF AMERICA'S RADICAL RIGHT", Claire Conner, is our special guest. She is an authority on the Koch Brothers, Tea Party, John Birch Society and radical American right wing political fanatacism.

The topic of surrogacy is emotionally and ethically controversial. Today, Michele Zavos, an attorney who practices family law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia will provide an overview and time line in assisted reproductive technology issues. Ms. Zavos is a pioneer in creating legal protection for LGBT families.
"Until recently, stories in the popular press were about traditional surrogacy, where the surrogate is inseminated with sperm from the infertile woman’s husband, and the carrier is genetically linked to the child. Today, most couples who build their families through surrogacy choose gestational surrogacy, also known as gestational care. In gestational care, the intended mother or an egg donor provides the egg and the intended father or a sperm donor provides the sperm. The resulting embryo is transferred to the gestational carrier, who has no genetic connection to the child". RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association 2013
Michele Zavos is a partner in the Zavos Juncker Law Group, PLLC. She founded the first Maybe Baby group in the Washington metropolitan area in 1982.
Michele is a selected member of the National Family Law Advisory Council for the National Center for Lesbian Rights and an elected Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton named her an “Angel in Adoption” in 2009. Michele has won many awards for her service to the LGBT community.
Michele and her law partner, Eva N. Juncker, were recently selected two of the top 25 divorce lawyers in Montgomery County by Bethesda Magazine. She was named Family Law Practitioner of the Year by the Bar Association of Montgomery County in 2013.
