  • Table Talk Show with Comedian Reggie Jackson

    in Comedy

When people hear the name Reggie Jackson they usually think about a black man that hits home runs, not a white woman that tells jokes. Originally from Virginia, Reggie moved to Atlanta in 2005, and very quickly found her knack for making people laugh. Aside from performing stand-up, Jackson is also a member of the interactive sketch comedy group, Call Me Up.

The path to comedy that David Young took may be an unusual one, if there is such thing as a usual path to comedy. Originally out of Virginia, David moved to Atlanta in 2011 to pursue his passions in film and sound engineering: behind the scenes of showbusiness. When he took a job running sound at a comedy club, he began to develop his ear for the timing and subject matter that led him to perform on stage. Drawing upon his experiences in international travel and the entertainment industry's hidden quirks, David flashes his unique perspective through the lens of his laid-back, cartoon-like voice.

Tune in each Tuesday night as Reggie and Dave take on the tables of some of the hottest restaurants in Atlanta.

    ACTOR & COMEDIAN ERIC JACOB

    in Entertainment

Eric Jacob is an actor and comedian who’s always thinking — and always writing.

An observation in a store, a conversation with a friend, or even a text might spark Eric’s next joke, and once he writes that joke, he can’t wait to share it with an audience.

In 2014 he was told about a comedy competition at a Princeton's "Catch a Rising Star."  Eric entered, and won! His victory earned him a spot opening for nationally known comic Bobby Collins. He continued opening for other comics such as Eddie Brill, Sherry Davey, Mike Gafney and Paul Bond.

Since then, the floodgates have opened. Eric shot a pilot in December, called Surviving Sam starring Alicia Minshew (All My Children) and the director liked him so much that they created a web series for him to star in, a prankster show called What’s It Gonna Take that is produced by Plin-Mar Productions and streams on the  Silvertree Entertainment platform. He stars with fellow comedian Tommy Gooch.

Eric joins Take 2 Radio on Tuesday, June 9th at 7pm eastern to talk about his career and more! Join us for some laughs!

bIt's rare to find someone born with the natural ability to captivate an audience. Italya Potts has displayed her ability to do so since child hood. Born in our nation's capital of Washington, D.C., it was obvious since the age of 2 that Italya possessed a true God-given talent. Italya is not only a singer but a songwriter as well. She writes all of her songs and is hands on with the composition of her music.

Upon hearing her voice, it is easy to hear some of her musical influences such as Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Kim Burell, The Clark Sisters and the Pace Sisters. Coupled with her ability to skillfully serenade an audience is her ability to touch the heart of her audience in song. Her versatility to go from traditional gospel to contemporary Christian music is uncanning.

    in Christianity

From Insanity to Sane presents Tranea Prosser she is an inspiring author and comedian guarantee to make you laugh, come out to support Tranea as we sit down for an exclusive interview May 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. CST. The first verse in the third chapter of the old Testament book of Ecclesiastes states "To everything there is a there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." Among the 27 purposes listed is a "...time to laugh."  And so it is for audiences exposed to the comedy  styling of the fabulous MizT.  From her trademark opening dance routine (the girl can 'jam'), to her infectious laugh, MizT knows how to bring "the funny" with purpose, ferocity and freshness. MizT is an experienced comedienne now getting more national notice with her debut comedy album, "Back at 'Ya Lord!"   Coming soon will be a DVD version of that hilarious CD.

She has also won critical acclaim, being chosen runner-up as the "Comedian of The Year" during the 2010 Texas Gospel Music Excellence awards.  And she has been notified that she's a nominee in the 2013 "Comedian of The Year" category by the Gospel Sounds Radio Network. Until fairly recently, MizT's "side-splitting" comedy routines was shared primarily with folks in Texas...from Dallas to Houston to the capital city of Austin.  But she is a regional star no more...becoming a comic force across the U-S with the release of "Back at 'Ya Lord."  Clips from MizT's comedy album are now airing on Internet radio stations across America and overseas in London. Prepare to be blessed as we discuss her book and comedy. Laughter is good for the soul. Remember God loves you.
