This week, it was announced that the Family Medicine Residency Program at Columbia in NYC would be closing. Just hours later, that decision was reversed. What does this mean, and what are next steps? Dr. Gerry Tolbert and I discuss further. In addition, we talked about the recent AAFP Annual Meeting and other topics. Enjoy!
On the borders between Colombia and Ecuador is a beautiful sanctuary, a wonder to its visitors. There is a venerated image of Our Lady of Las Lajas, and thousands and thousands of pilgrims from both countries visit each year and obtain many favors from God.
Back in the eighteenth century, María Mueses de Quiñones, a local woman from the village of Potosi, Colombia, often walked the six miles between her village and the neighbouring one of Ipiales. One day in 1754 as she was making the journey, she approached the place called Las Lajas (the Rocks), where the trail passes through a deep gorge of the Guaitara River. Maria never liked this part of the trail because there were rumors that a cave in Las Lajas was haunted. Such superstitions remained among the converted Christian Indians.

John Kirk is president of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club (BCSCC), and is the author of the award-winning book, In the Domain of the Lake Monsters. John is part of a team of investigators that have searched for cryptids such as Ogopogo, Sasquatch, Cadborosaurus, black alligators, unknown cameloids, lacustrean cryptids and giant salamanders in the province of British Columbia. John has ventured far afield in his quest for evidence for the mystery animals of the world in many areas of the world including Scotland, the Republic of Cameroon and the Republic of the Congo. John is a keen student of police methodologies and investigation techniques which he feels are very useful in the field of cryptozoological research. It is John’s hope that the day will come when cryptozoological researchers will be at the forefront of using technologies and equipment that are of the cutting edge variety in their search for cryptids.

The host, Thomas Mick, is an advocate of government limited to only one purpose; securing the natural rights of the People. This involves many functions, including defending the borders of the republic from attack or invasion, both physically and economically.
Today I would like to focus on USURPATION OF STATE LANDS BY THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA in contradiction of Article I, Section 8, and clause 17 of the Constitution, to wit:
"To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;"
I will also be discussing the District's attack on the natural rights of the Hammond family; an attack that is, in fact, an attack on the natural rights of ALL Americans as well as the sovereignty of ALL the States of the American Republic.
Please refrain from using profanity on this show.

In the second hour we look again at the geopolitical context of the destabilization efforts in Nigeria and othe regions of the world based on the purported "war on terrorism." The final segment examines the recent elections in Guatamala and the right-wing attacks on the Black Lives Matter movement in the US.
Ms. Flora Carter was borne on May 22, 1950. She was raised with the best of both worlds and was able to experience the American and African culture growing up as her mother was from North Carolina and her dad was from Sierra Leone, Africa. Her mom died when she was 11 and her dad raised her. This resulted in Flor starting her independence early at age 17. Flor is a product of the District of Columbia Public School system and attended college at Washington Technical Institute. She has always been a hard working person which was instilled early by her dad. She started working in middle school, at the nurses' office at school and has worked in the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Energy, the Justice Department and several contracting positions. She retired in 2013 from International Monetary Fund where she worked in record management. She has on daughter and two granddaughters.
Flora fought to overcome verbal, physical, financial, and sexual abuse. She has worked to help others understand and know that domestic violence is a choice that should not be made. She says, "The cycle must be broken. I am not a victim, but victorious, I am a survivor. I now educate and advocate with perons to end the cycle."
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we welcome this dynamic survivor to The Man In The Mirror platform. She'll tell us more about her story, and share with us how the Lord is now using her to help stop domestic violence one victim at a time. We'll find out how she helps turn them from victims to victors and become as she says victorious. Just a reminder that Domestic Violence Is Real!!!
