This week we're excited to have Wendy Piersall on our show!
Wendy is a problogger many times over, an author who wrote the book on mom blogging, a media celebrity who's frequently quoted in national media, an inspiring speaker, an amazing artist, and a mother of three. Today, Wendy's making waves in the art world with her coloring mandalas books. We'll be talking to Wendy about life as an artist, how coloring is art therapy and how you can create your own beautiful art with her books, which you can find on her site at http://WendyPiersall.com.
"If you had told me as a child that I would grow up someday to essentially be a professional coloring book maker and Spirograph artist, I’d have told you that you were off your rocker. Yet here I am, still hardly believing I am living this incredible journey called my life," Wendy says.
Thanks to Westfield Century City, Vinci Academy and MomAngeles, we get to explore the world of color through the words of author Drew Daywalt's best selling "The Day The Crayons Came Home". Bring your kiddos! We will be coloring, listening to a story (read by me, your favorite LA radio morning mommy) and finding out how contributing your used crayons can help kids & teachers across the nation. It's a program called CRAYON COLLECTION & in this radio interview with Sheila Michelle Morovati we find out how she started such a creative campaign from her kitchen & what motivated her to make it happen. Plus, find out about her very cool partnerships with Penguin Random House and the film makers of THE HERO OF COLOR CITY. Sheila needs to dish up the whole behind-the-scenes story for us.
Thanks for staying up after the kids have gone to bed & hanging out. I have my sparkling sangria from Whole Foods, & 2 sleeping kids, so let's do this Mommy Monday thing! And I will see you early on Wednesday at Westfield Century City 11:00am-12:30. I'll be the mom juggling a book, a toddler, and a Starbucks. Wait. Isn't that most of us? ;-)
There is a divine order to everything in creation, including the Universal Laws. The immutable Laws of Attraction are streams of vibrating energy that transmits your desires to the Universal Creative Process for manifestation. There is a Universal Law of Divine Order and one of its functions is to oversee the role you play in your manifestation process. And be under no illusion, you play the starring role in YOUR manifestation process whether you do this consciously or unconsciously. Keeping within the bounds and knowing your role in the manifestation process as stipulated by the Universal Law of Divine Order, isn’t about keeping you from coloring outside the lines; it’s all about giving you the reins, so you take the lead in consciously creating your reality/life.
Join me, Dr. Wendy Dearborne choice expert and coach and Olivia Lashley expression coach and artist as we put into perspective the role you play in YOUR manifestation process.

Join Me and my special guest Terry Cato for an in-depth discussion on her book "No Longer A Bridesmaid".
I have been writing ever since I could write words and form sentences. My earliest memory of writing was when I was in kindergarten and I would write sentences in my coloring books before I colored the pictures. As a child, I also wrote poems. I began to write song and rap lyrics as a teenager. Throughout my twenties and most of my thirties, I experienced severe writer's block and did not write any type of creative literature.
?In 2008, I began writing song lyrics again; and in 2010 God gave me the vision to write about my experience and journey to become a wife as I sat in a marriage enrichment class at my church. After writing an outline of the book, it would be another year before I started work on the manuscript. The initial title was Always a Bridesmaid ~ Never a Bride because I felt like a perpetual bridesmaid during my season of preparing to be a wife. After completing the manuscript, I edited the title to more accurately decribe my total experience; and No Longer A Bridesmaid! was born. I have a heart to help women by uplifting, empowering and motivating them to become all that God has called and purposed them to be. My ministry advocates for and suppport causes that uplift and empower women and girls.
I am married to Lloyd; he is my Boaz, my "Knight In Shining Armor" and the King of the castle. We have three wonderful children.
New Relationship Energy (NRE) can last for a few weeks or a few years. When newness and pleasure mix, an addictive feeling/attraction/love can grow quickly and intensely. However, when newness and pleasure mix, our body chemistry is affected, so the intense feelings we have may have just as much to do with our body chemistry as they have do with the new love of our life. Like the energy found in most pleasurable/ new relationships, NRE in consensual non-monogamy has the power to hide our new lovers’ “faults” and the power to make us neglect the lovers’ who have been with us through thick and thin. Be careful.
In the early 80s, Neil Sedaka sung "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do". His song was primarily about monogamous relationships, but his words are no less true for those who practice consensual non-monogamy. As a matter of fact, many feel a failed consensual non-mog relationship implies a failure in consensual non-monogamy. A failed relationship does not mean that a consensual non-monogamous lifestyle must end too. Join Devin Kent and Dr. T as they explore the difficulties and opportunities created by ending a consensual non-monogamous relationship.
