    Thanks to Westfield Century City, Vinci Academy and MomAngeles, we get to explore the world of color through the words of author Drew Daywalt's best selling "The Day The Crayons Came Home". Bring your kiddos! We will be coloring, listening to a story (read by me, your favorite LA radio morning mommy) and finding out how contributing your used crayons can help kids & teachers across the nation. It's a program called CRAYON COLLECTION & in this radio interview with Sheila Michelle Morovati we find out how she started such a creative campaign from her kitchen & what motivated her to make it happen. Plus, find out about her very cool partnerships with Penguin Random House and the film makers of THE HERO OF COLOR CITY. Sheila needs to dish up the whole behind-the-scenes story for us.

Chemically treated hair (ex.) permed hair, relaxed hair, previouslIy colored hair, the volume of developer needed to achieve the exact amount lift that is necessary, where you work, and what colors mesh best with your skin tone; all of these must be taken into consideration before we color. This is why the consultation  is not only the most important step in a color service, but can be very exciting as you play with ideas to  bring out the best style for you. With color, a person can completely transform, so all of these variables must be taken into consideration, befor coloring your hair. There are lot of new companies out there with good color technology, but every color system won't work on your specific hairtype. So before coloring your hair, take the time to research the stylist, the color line they use, their education, and the look that you want hope to achieve. We will be covering many types of color techniques, including ombre, sombre, ecaille, balayage, highlights, and bock coloring. This will be educational for stylists as well as the public.
