SORT BY Relevancy
Today our show focuses on the historic Elms Hotel & Spa in Excelsior Springs, MO. It has been restored to its halcyon days. The marvelous Italian tile floor has been meticulously repaired, the fixtures recall the "Arts & Crafts" era of the current 1912 building. (The resort dates back to 1888, but suffered two fires in 1889 & 1910). Every room has been totally renovated to period, yet completely modern down to the flatscreen TV and clock radio with an iPod dock. The pools, spa, dining room, lobby, huge work-out facility and lap pool are gorgeous.
As for the food - our guest on the show is the new Executive Chef/F&B Director Kelli Daniels. She has created a remarkably friendly and approachable menu, featuring comfort foods like fried chicken, steaks, pork chops, fried potato hash, grits, collards and beet salad. The sort of stuff you'd get for supper at the farm. But Chef Kelli's interpretations are gourmet, with a nod to local and organic ingredients, four-star presentations and flawless execution.
Today, it's all about The Elms - On Everyday KC.
HOW TO BECOME YOUR OWN FREQUENCY GENERATOR!
RAISE YOUR ALKALINITY RATE WHICH RAISES YOUR FREQUENCY. HOW................EAT BETTER!
All foods are "burned" within the body, leaving an ash as the result of the "burning" or digestion. ALL FOOD ASH IS; neutral, acid or alkaline, depending largely on the mineral composition of the foods. Some foods leave an ACID (bad) residue or ash, while some foods leave an alkaline (good). The acid ash (acidosis) results when there is a depletion of the alkali reserve or the diminution in the reserve supply of fixed bases in the blood and the tissues of the body. High protein foods and carbohydrates, are "ACID-FORMING" in nature, whereas others such as green veggies, are known to be "ALKALINE-FORMING." Most western diets result in an unbalanced, unhealthy acidic pH. A good goal to set if you want your diet to provide you with the greatest health benefit is 80% alkaline, 20% acid. That is 80% uncooked vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, and grains and tree-ripened fruit, 20% other. The most alkaline of all the vegetables are leafy greens, greens, greens! Wheat grass, spinach, chard, collards, kale, etc. ELEVATE YOUR CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS!

Yes, when people get “stuck in positions and beliefs” they repeat “the same mistakes.” This is true of diet and nutrition, and this has a deleterious effect on the health our country. Americans avoid some of the healthiest foods on account of they’re being “ethnic.” Instead of being eaten, these foods are ridiculed. Some examples are collards, stereotyped as African American, bitter melon stereotyped as Asian, and nopal cactus stereotyped as Mexican.
How ironic that most of the “superfood
