Colin was invited to sing by Local Icon Sybil Rampen, Owner/Operator of World Famous Event Gallery, Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre in beautiful Oakville, Ontario, Canada! This year, (2015) Colin will be singing and entertaining all the local children and their parents as they all brave this years extreme cold! It is a sunny day today but very cold! Perfect for outdoor Winter activities as well as hearing Colin sing along with many other Musical talents. The children will be playing outdoors today as well as indoor warm activities. Outdoors will be tobogganing, ice skating, games and prizes in the snow, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing. Indoors will be arts and crafts, henna tatoos, silent auction, and a book sale. All proceeds go towards the ongoing art programs within the Centre. Colin will most likely want to participate in some of the outdoor and indoor activities after singing to all! His Dad will be keeping tabs on him throughout this show and hopefully his cell phone works alright, while he freezes his buns off! It should be a fun filled Event! (Colin will be singing "Consider Yourself from The Movie/Musical "Oliver" and "Trolls" by Canadian Composer Clifford Crawley.)
In January 2012, Colin was invited to sing with Internationally famous Singer/Songwriter, Justin Hines at Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre in Oakville, Ontario, Canada for the First Annual Art From The Heart Art Gallery Show and Event. It was then a Sold-Out Show with over 300 people in attendance. Fast Foward to three years and now in February 2015 Colin has been asked and invited by The Owner/Operator, (Sybil Rampen) to sing once again at this years Opening Event. There will be many Artists works on display and For-Sale by many Differently-Abled Artists from all over Canada. They come from all Spectrums, Autism, Down-Syndrome, Wheelchair, Blind, and more. These people all prove that having a so-called Disability does not mean one cannot produce beautiful works of Art. Colin is honoured to be part of this event by Singing two full length songs. He will be reading a brief prepared speech at first then he will sing in front of the gathered audience with "Alone in The Universe and Lets Go Fly a Kite." Colin will be selling his three CD's at the end of the show and 50% of all proceeds will be donated to Sybil Rampen for her programs to all future artists registered in her classes at her Art Centre. Today is also Super Bowl night, so no-one who wants to see the Big Game will miss it as today's show and songs will be from 2-5 p.m. and the game begins at 6 p.m. Eastern. Colin asked Justin Hines via e-mail if he will be able to attend but he has another pre-scheduled event to attend. It will be a great show! JOIN-US! Listen-In or call to be a guest! 1-714-888-7428

This is a GREAT SPEECH! In his talk from 2013, former Secretary of State Colin Powell shares his personal thoughts on why it's so important to invest in children by giving them structure, responsibility, and a good start in life. He talks about how today's kids will be the next generation of leaders and he shares how the military helped to shape him into the man and the leader that he is today.
I can't imagine ever seriously asking my kids to stand at attention when the talk to me, but then again, I'm not a General and former world leader. And I certainly do see his point that our children's education begins well before we send them off to school.
He says: "I want to talk about young people and structure, young people and structure. This was last Wednesday afternoon at a school in Brooklyn, New York, at Cristo Rey High School, run by the Jesuits. And I was talking to this group of students, and take a look at them. They were around me in three directions. You'll noticed that almost all of them are minority. You'll notice that the building is rather austere. It's an old New York school building, nothing fancy. They still have old blackboards and whatnot. And there are about 300 kids in this school, and the school's been going now for four years, and they're about to graduate their first class. Twenty-two people are graduating, and all 22 are going to college. They all come from homes where there is, for the most part, just one person in the home, usually the mother or the grandmother, and that's it, and they come here for their education and for their structure."
This show is full of wisdom!
Steve Kerr has been very good at one thing in the NBA finals -- telling it like it is. Everyone watching this series can see the problem with Steph Curry's body language, and Kerr called the MVP out for it in his postgame interview Tuesday night. When your best player if lifeless and docile, you have to find a way to get through to him. Whether calling him out publicly was the right move is open to debate, but the fact remains that Kerr was merely stating the obvious.
A day later, Kerr acknowledged that the Warriors will take a long, hard look at going to a double-teaming strategy against LeBron James in Game 4, a statement that coaches and non-coaches alike are reacting to with the same disbelief: What the heck has been taking you so long?
The Cavs are basically a one-man team right now (albeit a one-man team getting a heck of a boost from a certain former rugby player), and even the most feeble-minded observer can be an astute second-guesser by asking the question: Can't you find a better way to try to stop that guy?
With those thought in mind, I jopined Colin Cowherd of ESPN Radio to discuss Game 4 of the NBA Finals -- and a bunch of other NBA matters

Guest: Colin Flaherty, author, Don't Make The Black Kids Angry, Black people are relentless victims of relentless white violence, all the time. This is the biggest lie of our generation. It was also the biggest news story of 2014. Easy to find in the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, Spike Lee, Oprah, USA Today, and lots of other places. That is a hoax.
That is what this book is about. How black crime and violence is astronomically out of proportion, but ignored, condoned, excused, denied, and even encouraged. http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Make-Black-Kids-Angry/dp/1508585024
The show is dedicated to Specialist 4 Leonard L. Alvarado, killed in Vietnam, August 12, 1969

Racial tension and violence in the Black community is at an all time high. People of all races are scared and also tired of not feeling safe in their own neighborhoods. Recent acts of violence, riots, and murders have set us all on edge.
Today I am honored to have as my guest Colin Flaherty.
Colin Flaherty is an award winning reporter and author of the #1 best selling book White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore it.
His new book is Knockout Game a Lie? Aww, Hell No.
Both books are about black mob violence, black on white crime and the Knockout Game.
His work has appeared in more than 1000 news sites around the world, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine. His story about how a black man was unjustly convicted of trying to kill his white girlfriend resulted in his release from state prison and was featured on Court TV, NPR, The Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune.
Thomas Sowell: ”Reading Colin Flaherty’s book made painfully clear to me that the magnitude of this problem is greater than I had discovered from my own research. He documents both the race riots and the media and political evasions in dozens of cities.” – National Review.
Sean Hannity: White Girl Bleed a Lot “has gone viral.”
Allen West: “At least author Colin Flaherty is tackling this issue (of racial violence and black on white crime) in his new book, White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore it.“
Los Angeles Times: “a favorite of conservative voices.”

His work has been published in Freezeray and Oddball magazines , and he has appeared as a featured poet at venues across MA and RI. He organized the Capable Massachusetts poetry and disability panel at the 2015 MA poetry festival, and is a member of the 2015 Worcester 7 Hills National Poetry Slam team. On this episode, we'll highlight and give away two novels and a short story collection written by three acclaimed authors:
Colin Barrett on Young Skins. A multi-award-winning debut short story collection set in the fictional, rural town of Glanbeigh, Ireland--a desolate spot where buffoonery and tension simmer and erupt, and booze-sodden boredom fills the corners of every pub and nightclub.
Jonathan Odell on Miss Hazel and the Rosa Parks League. Inspired by Odell's childhood in pre-Civil Rights Mississippi, two young mothers--one wealthy and white and the other poor and black--have only two things in common: the devastating loss of their children, and a deep and abiding loathing for one another. As their relationship and beliefs grow, so does an unexpected friendship.
Susan Wilson on The Dog Who Saved Me. After his faithful canine partner is killed in the line of duty, Officer Cooper Harrison finds himself jobless, on the verge of divorce and in a self-destructive rut. Then he becomes an animal control officer back in his hometown, where he works to rescue a wounded and gun-shy yellow Lab gone feral.
