    Colin SINGS at WINTERFEST 2015!

    in Music

Colin was invited to sing by Local Icon Sybil Rampen, Owner/Operator of World Famous Event Gallery, Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre in beautiful Oakville, Ontario, Canada! This year, (2015) Colin will be singing and entertaining all the local children and their parents as they all brave this years extreme cold! It is a sunny day today but very cold! Perfect for outdoor Winter activities as well as hearing Colin sing along with many other Musical talents. The children will be playing outdoors today as well as indoor warm activities. Outdoors will be tobogganing, ice skating, games and prizes in the snow, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing. Indoors will be arts and crafts, henna tatoos, silent auction, and a book sale. All proceeds go towards the ongoing art programs within the Centre. Colin will most likely want to participate in some of the outdoor and indoor activities after singing to all! His Dad will be keeping tabs on him throughout this show and hopefully his cell phone works alright, while he freezes his buns off! It should be a fun filled Event! (Colin will be singing "Consider Yourself from The Movie/Musical "Oliver" and "Trolls" by Canadian Composer Clifford Crawley.)

Deb Callahan, Colin Linden, Crooked Eye Tommy & CKNM Dalannah & Owen

    in Music

Show # 293 - Live, Uncut & Uncensored Conversations With "Musicians You Should Know"

Deb Callahan sings blues soaked soul…or is it soul soaked blues? Either way, this Boston born songstress has been working audiences up and down the eastern seaboard for the last 20 years.  Her 5th album is entitled Sweet Soul and I get to sit with Deb and talk about her life and journey down the blues highway.

Colin Linden is a singer, songwriter and producer who has worked with folks like Bruce Cockburn, Lucinda Williams, T-Bone Burnett, The Band, and Bob Dylan to name just a few. When Colin was 11 he met Howlin’ Wolf and his path was sealed.  His new album us entitled Rich In Love and Colin and I will explore his fantastic history and music.

Out of SoCal comes the band Crooked Eye Tommy.  The band led by brothers Tommy & Paddy Marsh play twin guitar blues.  They made their way to the IBC in 2014 representing the Santa Barbara Blues Society and have not looked back.  Their album, Butterflies & Snakes is a solid collection of 11 originals.

Couch Kid New Music comes to us from Dalannah Bowen and her musical partner Owen Vebar.  Dalannah and Owen made their way to the IBC this past January and even with Dalannah battling food poisoning, they made t to the final stage, only to be denied when the illness prevented them from performing.  Yup...that good!  We will talk about their getting together, the IBC talem and their wonderful new album, Been Around A While.

Award Winning journalist Colin Flaherty On The Hagmann & Hagmann Report

    in News

Join us tonight for an information packed show. In the first hour we will be discussing the latest news and current events followed in the second and third hour by our guest Colin Flaherty.  Colin Flaherty has guts, or courage, if you prefer. Equally important, he has done what nearly all investigative journalists have been unwilling to do. He has conducted a comprehensive and honest investigation into one of the most unreported and underreported threats to our society and culture.

His latest book, Don’t Make The Black Kids Angry, The Hoax of Black Victimization and How We Enable It, is 468 pages long and contains 915 footnotes that document the extent of racial violence. More importantly, he exposes the deliberate censorship by the media and public officials of this threat that poses a grave danger to all of us.

Here is the link to the listen live &  archive page. It contains the Live stream links at the top of the page and then the archives below.

    in Sports

I have lived in Tampa, Fl for over 22 years and I am an avid sports fan. I do my research and get all the facts before I give my opinion. My passion is for all sports but the most important one to me is by far football. I have worked for the Tampa Tribune for 3 years, radio broadcasting, and even covered the Arena Football League. I have covered every sport from volleyball to the UFC and I look forward to bringing my years of sports experience to my new radio show. Like the great Herm Edwards said “ You play to win the game, Hello? You play to win the game. You don't play it to just play it. That's the great thing about sports: you play to win, and I don't care if you don't have any wins. You go play to win. When you start telling' me it doesn't matter, then retire. Get out! 'Cause it matters."

    Colin Daymude- Systems for Marketing!

    in Business

Topics we cover in this conversation:

Why a system is important, even (or especially) for small businesses who don’t have any money to waste.
How Henry Ford didn’t invent the automobile, but became successful by automating the process
How “slacking off” after the sale is why businesses (and marriages!) often fail
How most businesses become overwhelmed with the first three phases:

The Eight Phases of the Perfect Customer Lifecycle

    Generating Interest
    Capturing Leads
    Educating and building trust
    Converting the lead
    Processing the sale
    Fulfilling,  “wowing” & educating
    Upselling and cross-selling
Creating advocates (testimonials, referrals, continuing the relationship)

Colin Daymude is an entrepreneur, national speaker, trainer, coach and author of 4 books and numerous industry white papers, Colin founded The Annual Mortgage Marketing Review Conference and was former CEO of the fastest growing training company in the US. Colin has personally and/or through Infusionsoft consulted with thousands of businesses and has been described as being on the “cutting edge as a speaker and marketing expert”.

Dr. Colin Ellard on how our surroundings influence us and our well-being

    in Psychology

Welcome to Amy Alkon's HumanLab: The Science Between Us, interviewing the luminaries of behavioral science.

This week's very exciting show is on a subject that has a great deal of influence over us -- our environment -- that we tend to give very little thought.

Luckily, cognitive neuroscientist Colin Ellard has done the work and thinking for us, and, on this show, will lay out the science of how the places we inhabit change our minds and bodies, and how we can use this knowledge to our benefit.

His book we'll be discussing tonight, Places of the Heart: The Psychogeography of Everyday Life, was a Library of Science Book Club selection.

Join me and all my fascinating guests every Sun from 7-7:30 pm PT and 10-10:30 pm ET, here at blogtalkradio.com/amyalkon or subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher.

And please support the show by buying my science-based, funny book, "Good Manners for Nice People Who Sometimes Say F*ck"

On this week's episode of "Pro Football View from the East," hosts Joe Tufaro (@Tufdan) and Dennis Agapito (@PFVFE) discuss some key injuries which took place during the last week of NFL action and the effect they will have upon their teams.

Joe and Dennis take a close look at the many moves made by the San Francisco 49ers as they traded away their long time tight end Vernon Davis and have benched quarterback Colin Kaepernick.  They also talk about a possible return date for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, the release of running back Joseph Randle and defensive end Greg Hardy's actions.

They analyze the current NFL playoff picture and which of this weeks games will have major playoff implications.
