We want to know how you explore day to day life with brain injury. And we want to use our stories to connect with the larger disability community.

With Caitlin as my co-host again and probably for forever now so get used to it. ANYWAYS! Don't freak out. It's not like we think being body posi is trash or that body positivity is trash. It's just simply that body posi excludes fat bodies in really harmful ways. The basics of body positivity is all well intentioned and great, and is a great starter point for being generally positive about bodies in general. But, with that being said, here we will take a deeper look into why the tumblr based movement excludes and sometimes even sh*ts on fat bodies in the most ableist, fat phobic ways and how that transitioned into fat people needing more than just the body positive movement and discovering fat acceptance (though fat acceptance has been around much longer than tumblr as well as fat activism). We explain the f*ck ups of body posi and how identifying with Fat Acceptance/Fat Positivity over Body Posi doesn't mean we are not Body posi. We will also get into the flaws within Fat Acceptance because addressing issues can never be overstated enough. Don't be afraid to call in for any questions or to contribute to the conversation! If you can't be here for the live episode, you can always send any messages/questions/stories to my tumblr inbox
