1/21/2016 THIS Thursday SETH NEBLETT!!
Seth Neblett is an American photographer, singer and editor. Born in Highland Park, MI. He is the only child of American funk/R&B singer Mallia Franklin of Parliament-Funkadelic/Parlet fame, also known as the Queen of Funk and session drummer Nathaniel "Nate" Neblett. As a child, he sang on songs by Parliament, Funkadelic and Bootsy's Rubber Band "This Boot Is Made For Funk'n". In 1989, Derrick Ladd (A&R) offered him an opportunity to join the roster of the newly formed LaFace Records, but Seth declined because he was reluctant to leave his group to become a solo artist. His photography credits include the PBS P-Funk documentary "One Nation Under A Groove" and he also photographed Parlet (his mother Mallia, Shirley Hayden and Jeanette Washington) for the cover of "Funk U! magazine" in France in 1997. Most recently he shot the cover of Diva, Miki Howard's 2008 release "Private Collection" and the 2008 cover of cookbook "[Champagne & Collard Greens]" for Maxi B. Seth has also been credited at one time as Miki Howard's publicist. In 2008, Seth was the editor at large of an entertainment website launched that he conceived called grownpeoplesbiz.com. The site was defunct shortly after. He's created content with friends and music celebrities like Maxi B. of the Mary Jane Girls, Miki Howard, Sheila E. and others. Seth is writing a autobiography with his mother and her funk singing sisters, The Brides of Funkenstein and Parlet. Seth's Mother, Mallia "Queen of Funk" Franklin died at the age of 57 in 2010. Seth directed his first two music videos in 2010, "Favorite Time of the Year" for Miki Howard and "Dedicated" for Vesta Williams.
Corporate criminality is increasingly recognized because of blatant corruption like that revealed in the BP spill, JP Morgan and other banksters getting away with destroying the economy and Walmart's abuse of its employees, whose workers have to depend on tax money to meet their basic needs. What is less well known is that Coca-Cola is literally getting away with murder in Latin America.
Coke shows the effects of unchecked corporate power of even the producer of seemingly benign products. Evidence shows it has funded death squads in Latin America targeting union organizers with intimidation, rape and murder. It abuses its economic power to bribe officials in Mexico, India and elsewhere to privatize, deplete and poison vital water supplies, practice racial discrimination and commit a variety of other corporate crimes.
Americans are realizing the effects of corporate control of government but outsourcing, deregulation and lack of accountability for harm to individuals and society do not compare to abuses of workers in other nations. Understanding what corporate executives do to their workers in other countries shows why we have to stand with them or suffer the same fate.
Join us on Saturday, January 11 at 9 PM PST/ 12 PM EST when Ray Rogers of KillerCoke.org will discuss these issues and the campaign to fight these abuses.

Writer/critic Bennet Pomerantz discusses subjects with authors and artists on The Betty Award winning ANYTHING GOES. Tonight's guest is Robyn Peterman
NYT and USA Today best selling author, Robyn Peterman, writes because the people inside of her head won't leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. She writes snarky, sexy, funny paranormal and snarky, sexy, funny contemporaries.
Her addictions include laughing really hard with friends, shoes (the expensive kind), Target, Coke Zero Cherry with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, bejeweled reading glasses, her kids, her super-hot hubby and collecting stray animals.
A former professional actress, with Broadway, film and T.V. credits, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her peace and makes her whole, plus having a job where she can work in her underpants works really well for her.
