Finding the Middle Ground in Syria
While main stream media has been debating the false choices of bomb Syria or do nothing, the Middle Ground has been exploring other options. Fortunately international law and the Chemical Weapons Convention may now be providing a path to resolve the conflict, prohibit future use of chemical weapons, deescalate the conflict without military intervention.

Three years ago, the Coffee Party leaped from a popular Facebook page to a national phenomenon with people getting together in coffee shops and community centers to engage in civil dialogue as fellow Americans, and work together to form a more perfect union. It made national news.
What does it take to create a truly inclusive and civil dialogue? The Owensboro, KY Coffee Party has been meeting every week for three years and their core team includes a Tea Party leader. We have a lot to learn from their experience.
The Big Apple Coffee Party has been focused almost exclusively on the problem of money in politics. Their model of local organizing is effective and inspiring. Chuck Zlatkin will join us to discuss their work including their new action, Don't Do Koch on April 1st.

This week’s show The country is in much more danger than many are willing to acknowledge. There is a political faction that has no regard for normalcy, fact based data, regards for constitutional intent, nor honest compromise. This is a clear and present danger to the country.
While I have known for some time about the dangers of the insurrectionist portion of the Republican Party, validation from reputable Republicans who are brave and moral enough to be heard at this time confirms that my Liberal bias has not prejudiced said assertion. Lets discuss this on the show today as well as its implication for not only the Affordable Care Act but the social safety net in general. What will be required for Americans to regain access to success?
