We're faced with decisions every day - from simple things such as what to eat for breakfast to really difficult decisions like business deals, and life changing situations. Decision making is just a part of life.
But the question is, are you making effective decisions? How do you know if it’s an effective decision or just a good one? When it comes to making big life decisions, do you research options, talk to trusted advisors or just go with your gut?
Sharon Hibbard, the entrepreneurs "business GPS system" joins Adam to teach us about effective decision making. Learn the difference between an effective decision and a "good' decision. And you'll pick up some new skills that will empower you to make decisions that will propel your life and business forward in the right direction.
Decision making is an important part of healthy development. How do you make decisions? Do you consider the consequences of your decisions? How often? How does your decision making style impact that of the children and others you influence?
Let's talk about decision making on the next episode of Discussions with Delia

Dr Synonymous reviews clinical decision making in the Human Centered Health Home. An appointment includes human centered greeting comments, then use of SPIT, a model for considering Serious, Probable, Interesting and Treatable causes of the patients chief complaint. Next is Identifying Information that personalizes/humanizes the patient, including a Living, Learning, Working model with physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual components of the patients life through CODIERS (another model). Dr S next comments on using the Biophychosocial Model to expand the differential diagnosis further. A further filtering, expanding and narrowing process next mentioned is the consideration of systems and processes that may relate to the patients primary problem. The dyad engages the HCHH process by Respecting themselves and each other, unconsciously committing to Protect each other, then by Connecting in a mutual problem solving dyad. As they explore the above information in the context of the patients life, the physicians life and the system in which they engage, they seek to Detect the causes of the patients misalignment (chief complaint) with their life/work plan. The physician then undertakes a physical exam of the patient considering the differential diagnosis throughout the process. The dyad, after the patient repositions, then shares their perspective and clarifies the assessment. Next they share in developing a plan to Correct the situation causing the chief complaint. The plan may include Diagnostic elements such as imaging or laboratory tests, or even the test of time. It may include therapeutic elements including dietary measures, exercise, medication, physical therapy, massage, vitamins, etc. Patient education is the last formal component of the visit followed by a human/human departing action/comment.

Priya Magic of Women in Full Bloom engages in lively honest conversations with women from around the country and differnt walks of life about the in's and out's of life for us women in the transition years after menopause from 55-65.
There's much talk these days about women over 50! Have you heard about or even felt the over fifty Invisible Factor? Many of us begin to get the feeling that as we step into that over 50 age we become invisible. Lumping all women over fifty into one category is another way of the culture making us invisible.
Over fifty is a vast realm that we as women know has many nuances that are in and of themselves and entire world. The passage from the end of menopause into the early sixties is a very unique one and deserves much care and attention as any other phase of life. Just as the passage of 40-50 is unique, 50-60, 60-70, and 70-80 and on are all distinct journeys. It is time to step out of the realm of the invisible and be seen and heard for these distinctions!
Hear what your sisters are going through. Laugh, Cry, and feel the support of honest and vulnerable sharing from other real women who are facing the challenges of Relationship, Work, Family and Passions as we all move into being 'Older" women!
