    Living Water Drinking Deeply

    in Motivation

John chapter 4 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. Here in his conversation with The Woman at the Well, Jesus tells us about living water. He explains that God is Spirit and that those who worship must worship in spirit and in truth. In a day and time when it seems that everything is on overdrive, let's talk about what it means to drink deeply of the living water in the 21st century.

Water For The Thirsty - Episode 17

    in The Bible

The drudgery that many experienced with Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy is now behind us. Things are picking back up again with Joshua and Judges and Paul's letter to the Corinthians is definitely stirring up a number of questions for us to try and a deal with tonight! Among them 1 Corinthians 5:11-12.

Water For The Thirsty - Episode 16

    in The Bible

Several people had the same questions this week as we were coming to the end of both Deuteronomy and Matthew that caused us to take another look at what we thought we knew about God. We're bringing them to the cast tonight to see if we can get further inisght that may help bring resolution to those questions.

Water For The Thirsty - Episode 13

    in The Bible

Every time you start reading the Bible at the beginning of the year, there is ALWAYS a slow down once you hit Leviticus! Fortunately our reading plan makes provision for that by scheduling more "palatable" books alongside it. Helping us push through is the always intriguing books of Acts and the Psalms! Our themes for this week's conversation will likely be drawn from there!

Create In Me A Clean Heart

    in Christianity

Psalm 51:9-11 says Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. 10Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.…And its a verse of scripture I should pray each day God allows me to rise from my sleep. To both start and end the day with acknowledging to the Lord we constantly and daily need to be purified of our hearts and minds. What does it take for God to clean our hearts? What must we come to an understanding of? First, we must confess we can not clean our hearts through human effort. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to have access to all of our hearts and navigate to those areas we don't want to reveal. Confessing our sin and short comings afterall is no fun. But it does lift a very heavy burden and weight we could not carry ourselves. For without a clean heart how can we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, how can we love others in purity, love and respect, as well as having right attitudes. If left unchecked, we can miss out on Gods very best for us when we don't allow him to continue what he started....a potential masterpiece when we allow him free reign to create in us a clean heart which frees us from the bondage of sin.

Water For The Thirsty - Episode 12

    in The Bible

If God hardened Pharoah's heart what are the implications for free will? If every recorded instance of someone receiving the Holy Spirit involves conscious recognition and a witness what are the implications for the way we teach the indwelling of the Spirit? These and other questions arose in out of our readings of Exodus, Acts and the Psalms this week and we hope to tackle as many of them as possible.
