For thousands of years this gentle culture of cohesive families and tribelets showed respect for nature. And then the Europeans came. How the Tachi-Yokut Native Americans lived and survived to thrive is our story. We'll learn lessons from Nature's front, the realities of Spanish missionaries and California's first governor who advocated extermination of Native Americans to today's Governor Brown nominating a Tribal Advisor to his administration. Friends, how many of us have them? Don't worry, I won't sing the song. lol. But seriously, how many of us have them? Friends offer comfort, support, an ear or a shoulder.
And a reason, a season or a lifetime. Where do most of your friends fall into? Hopefully we have many friends who will stick around for a lifetime. But sometimes life's commitments take them away from us. And hopefully you've forged those kinds of friendships that you can just pick up from when you last talked.
