Reverend Charles R. Harrison, Senior Pastor for Barnes UMC, is our guest for the premiere of this series entitled "Church Chat". Reverend Harrison is an icon in the community and much revered as a leader for change in the Indianapolis area. He is a dynamic pastor and the winner of many accolades for his work for Youth. He also heads the Ten-Point Coalition (an organization of ministers) that patrols the streets in an effort to curb gang violence by engaging in dialog with the gangs. A true Spiritual Leader in the church community. This series of shows will focus on community outreach issues and events from the church's perspective. Content will be covered by interviews and discussions with members and ministry on how these issues should be resolved according to the Church. This show will provide a forum for such dialog.
This is an internet radio talk show so listeners will be able to call-in, just listen and or chat.. Listeners will have the ability to listen ' live" as the show airs or listen at a later time as all shows are archived..

NO GUNS FOR NEGROES !
One of the most contentious political topics of the day revolves around gun control. To me, this issue is a no-brainer. If you've demonstrated an ability to live peacefully in society, you should have the basic human right to protect yourself. Even a rabbit will fight if cornered, so self-defense is encoded within the blueprint of nature. However, at some point in history, some began to rely on telephones, mace, and long fingernails as their primary weapon of self-defense. Is this rational ? Is it reasonable to rely upon the police to protect yourself, your property, and your family ? Well, consider the fact that a Florida Sherriff was recently fired for possessing shooting range targets that had the image of Trayvon Martin upon them. And you Negroes are going to risk using 9-11 to call someone that may share this barbarian's sickness ? Why are these targets selling like hotcakes, may I ask, if the same threats of yesterday are not active today ? Whether it be the KKK, the gang banger, wife beater, or anyone else that threatens your life, your best defense will always be a gun, NOT numbers on a telephone !!!!!
