Whether from the patient's or from the practitioner's perspective, chronic illness is usually seen as devastating to the individual who suffers, challenging for the practitioner who treats the patient, and is usually framed as a drain on the health system in general. This episode of "Healing Circles: Sisters on Call" looks at chronic illness as a healing experience and teaches both the patient and the practitioner how to remain conscious, curious and connected to their healing as a means of engaging the issues around chronic illness.

Fibromyalgia is a disorder that causes muscle pain and fatigue (feeling tired). People with fibromyalgia have “tender points” on the body. Tender points are specific places on the neck, shoulders, back, hips, arms, and legs. These points hurt when pressure is put on them.
People with fibromyalgia may also have other symptoms, such as:
Painful menstrual periods
Tingling or numbness in hands and feet
Problems with thinking and memory (sometimes called “fibro fog”).
A person may have two or more coexisting chronic pain conditions. Such conditions can include chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, inflammatory bowel disease, interstitial cystitis, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, and vulvodynia. It is not known whether these disorders share a common cause.

Many diseases adversely affect our brain health later in life such as Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinsons. Perhaps we can help by maintaining good oxygen levels and doing activites which activate our brain daily, like computer games, sports, meditation, conversations, team board games, reading, writing, exercises. Dr. David Barczyk, D.C. addresses 5 activities which may help save you and loved ones from future brain diseases which are aggravated by inactivity.
1. Meditate: Meditation has been shown to increase IQ and decrease stress. Meditate 10 minutes a day. No excuses. (If you’ve never meditated before and are too afraid at this point to ask how to do it, the answer is simple to give, but difficult to do. To meditate means to clear your brain. Basically, think about nothing. If you’ve never tried it, you may be surprised at what a challenge such a simple seeming task can be. Stay in the struggle and do it. One tip is to little envision chasing your thoughts away to leave your brain clear.)
2. Listen to music or better yet learn to play music.
3. Exercise: Walk. Bike. Swim. Exercise increases oxygen. Your brain loves oxygen.
4. Change your environment: Look for ways to struggle. Take a different route to work. If you usually go left, go right. Do something different. Change your routine.
5. Think positive

Jason Pillow has a warning and report to share about the immigration situation at the Mexican border, as well as the serious threat of diseases at pandamic levels in the United States. He has documentation that proves that the M13 and cartels from Mexico that are pouring over the southern border are tied with the Muslim brotherhood (ISIS, Al Qaeda et al). These groups are going unchecked at the borders. According to a four-star general (who believes his life is in danger) has said that 300,000 people per day are coming through into the United States, and expects that number could go as high as one million.
Many of the immigrants have diseases such as scabies, denge and medical resistant tuberculosis. In the event of a pandemic (which is most likely, given the stats), the UN would then have a justified purpose for having a presence in America. There is just far too much information brother Pillow has to share than can be put here. There is a real threat of a pneumonic plague in Colorado. Reports have poured in that a UN presence has already been reported in KY, TN (East and middle), GA, FL, OH, CO and TX.
Please join us, listen to the information, then take it to the LORD in prayer.
