The Long Island Ghost Hunting and Tracking Society, also known as LIGHTS or LIGHTS Paranormal, was founded in 2012 based on a long-standing passion for the paranormal and the unexplained.
LIGHTS believes that through our unique lifelong paranormal experiences, it has shaped our lives in one way or another, and has led us to an ongoing search for answers. With our constantly expanding knowledge and experiences as our shield, we are compelled to help those who are being affected by the paranormal. Because of this, all investigations are always free of charge and done with the utmost honesty, courtesy, and commitment.
Our mission is simple: to seek out, document, and reveal all paranormal findings. If further assistance is needed, we will do our best to help.
Since starting LIGHTS Paranormal, others have joined in our efforts because they share the same passion and beliefs. In addition, each member brings a vital and credible asset to the team through their unique professional skill sets and diversity.

Have you just received your results and have no idea how to analyze them? What do you know about Identical by Descent (IBD) and Identical by State( IBS)? Have you lowered the threshold on your DNA matches and discovered that you match everyone? Should you do this and is it a valid indicator for identifying matches?
Shannon Christmas will discuss how DNA analysis, when used in concert with traditional genealogical research methods, can help family historians overcome challenges unique to genealogy research. He will also answer your burning questions concerning the various DNA test.
Shannon Christmas is an experienced genealogist specializing in genetic, colonial American, and African-American genealogy in Virginia and the Carolinas. He serves as a 23andMe Ancestry Ambassador, administrator of The Captain Thomas Graves of Jamestown Autosomal DNA Project, co-administrator of The Hemings-Jefferson-Wayles-Eppes Autosomal DNA Project, and blogger of Through The Trees, “a didactic guide to new tools and technologies for genealogy” (http://throughthetreesblog.tumblr.com/). Shannon has a special interest in harnessing the power of autosomal DNA to verify and extend pedigrees, assess the veracity of oral history, and reconstruct ancestral genomes. A trained urban planning and real estate consultant, Shannon has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University and a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Have you ever wondered just how important sleep is? How sleep plays a role in everything that we do? Our internal clocks are governed by seasonal variations in light and dark; extending daylight artificially leads to a craving for sugar, especially concentrated, refined carbohydrates that, in turn, cause obesity. More seriously, lack of sleep inhibits the production of prolactin and melatonin—deranging our immune systems and causing depression, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Tune in this week as the author of Lights Out TS Wiley joins me to share with you everything you need to know about sleep. How to and why to.
GUEST BIO: sleep
T.S. Wiley is the author of "Lights Out: Sleep, Sugar and Survival, ". Wiley succinctly and logically argues that electricity and the light bulb put us out of sync with nature as the ultimate "endocrine disruptors". People spent summers, before electric lights, sleeping less and eating heavily in preparation for winter because the light triggered the hunger for carbohydrates. Now, light is available 24 hours a day. Heating and air-conditioning climate control our hormonal responses to consume carbohydrates now available year round. This is the scenario for obesity, Type II diabetes, and depression. In Wiley's opinion, sleep is the best medicine. Her newest work in process is "Manthropology", exploring how medicine and modern life are killing men. BEYOND FINDING THE RIGHT SCHOOL
Student athletes not only want to get into a college or university, they also are looking for scholarship opportunities. Identifying student athletes that are capable of garnering scholarship opportunities isn't simple. In an arena of just over 7 million High School students athletes only 2% of those students will receive some level of scholarship.
In this competitive arena MYP2P is the first and only social network that brings coaches, players and pros together to help kids reach their goals and realize their dreams. We will work tirelessly to help make the connections and foster the athletic excellence that's required to get recognized by Colleges, Universities, Scouts and Coaches.
