    in Politics Conservative

Greetings to our ever vigilant and faithful Afronerd Radio listeners!  Join Dburt and Capt. Kirk for another sonic roller coaster ride better known as The Mid Week in Review, courtesy of Afronerd Radio Machine Works!  The topics up for discussion are: an assessment of Panthers' quaterback, Cam Newton's post SB behavior; and speaking of the Superbowl, just how racial, "radical" and disapproving was singer, Beyonce Knowles' half-time SB performance?; our impressions of the New Hampshire presidential primary results; actress Lupita Nyong'o and Ava Duvernay have been tapped to team up (act and direct, respectively) for an Amblin Entertainment (Steven Spielberg!) sci-fi thriller, entitled Intelligent Life; The Root highlights 4 Black female software engineers who received a tech award (The Crunchies) for their start-up, Slack; BLM front man, DeRay Mckesson announces his bid for mayor of Baltimore, MD; a new study shows that Americans do not live as long as their European counterparts. *Honorable mention: Seattle Seahawk and soon to be retiree, Marshawn Lynch purportedly has not spent any of his 9year 50m contract money! An lastly, Dburt still has more to say about The Oscars vs The NAACP Image Awards dynamic (undoubtedly a classic rant).  Call the hosts live at 646-915-9620.

    Pastor Jim Nuzum-The Lords Rest

    in Christianity

    Hebrews 4:1 (KJV)
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

    Hebrews 3:14 (KJV)
    14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

    2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

SF #236 Warning ! Learning Curves Ahead

    in Motivation

Mordant & McFall discuss how your inner circle is the one who takes the brunt of your learning curve. They see what seems like hypocrisy, get the religious anger of our failings as we learn, and hopefully stay strong to the other side. Learning is the most dangerous game of all.

Mordant adopts a country twang while Charles asks if “you have seen a whole new world?” after listening to the prior two episodes.  The gang reminds us how they are battling in the trenches with us.  We all have to adapt to the learning curve of life and realize our inner circle is going to take the brunt of it while we struggle for air.  To counter this, we all need to work on communicating and “adulting” effectively.  We will get some relationship advice along the way as long as being reminded that time is precious.  It’s time to cut ourselves some slack and create space for riding out the learning curve.

State Sovereignty Show : Full Moon Rising

    in Politics Conservative

It's Not About Right and Left. It's About Right and Wrong!

With the opening bell of the 2016 legislative session in Jefferson City, our thoughts turn closer to home and our good friend Representative Mike Moon joins us again weekly for a live first-hand look inside the business of government. As with past years, Mike will join us every Friday to explain what is going on at your seat of government.

In the second hour, Mike Slack will come aboard to talk about a rally tomorrow at the Springfield and KCI airports over concerns about the Real ID program. Not sure what that is? Want to be involved? Come along and find out.

And, should local governments be prohibited from using political, administrative methods to "remove" a governing member elected by the people? At least one major town in Missouri allows a majority of city council members to remove another member over political disagreements. How is that government by, for, or of the people?

Join BTR Featured Host Dave and Lloyd tonight, Friday, January 8 at 7PM Missouri Time for the latest in how we take our State and our country back. Want to participate? The studio line is 347-677-1835. It's the best Friday night you'll spend this week.

True Paranormal: Bub Smith, Founder of Slack Jaw Punks

    in Paranormal

Due to an emercency, Bub Smith will not be with us this evening.

Hosts, Deb DeRousse and Jonathn Lento are excited to spend the evening with Bub Smith, founder of Slack Jaw Punks.  Deb met Bub at the Michigan Paracon in 2014 and was instantly drawn to his smile, intelligence, soft heart, and his deep love of Horror films, Comic Books, and Video Games.  Bub is also a bass player and a Hospice Nurse.   Slack Jaw Punks was founded in 2012 when Bub placed an ad on craigs list:  “Overly aggressive horror nerd with excessive amount of body hair seeks fellow horror nerd to form a lifetime partnership of telling people what they think about Horror movies, comic books, video games and T.V. Shows. Also I enjoy the HBO show Deadwood.”   In the short 2 years since it was founded Slackjawpunks.com has showcased the premiere talent in the genre: From Eduardo Sanchez to Henry Rollins. Featuring interviews, reviews, podcasts and even junk food reviews (thanks to SJP’s resident chef/paranormal expert Patrick), it’s easy to see that SJP was founded by horror movie junkies for horror movie junkies.                                                                                                                   http://slackjawpunks.com/
