    Doing Business Better with Rae Jenkins

    in Lifestyle

    Listen to the 'real-time' concerns of some of the people I have conversations with about their money concerns. In this Q & A segment I'll answer 4 of the most frequent questions asked of me.

    Pt 1- How do I deal with the pressure of not enough money?

    Pt 2- How do I get 'more' money consistently?

    Pt 3- Why do I feel guilty about wanting more money?

    Pt 4- Why do I need more money when I have enough for my needs?

    Connect with Rae Jenkins outside of This Needs To Be Said by going to her site at: http://raejenkins.com/

    Rae takes a holistic approach with money.  Here is what she has to say: "Thru many money lessons I’ve learned  that it’s not hard to get the money you deserve.  Unfortunately we’re conditioned to think it’s hard; without a proper mindset and relationship with money you’ll always work hard for it. You will never attract what you chase . . . a lesson I learned the hard way. I, just like many, bought into the lies about money that kept me living beyond my means, in debt and running the rat race. Until I found out how to make money work for me . . . until I developed a right relationship with money.  It’s my policy to be honest with you, so I have to say, “freedom from a dysfunctional relationship with money requires a commitment!”

    HBCU Tuesdays! Discussion On ALA State Football & Coach Brian Jenkins Allegation

    in Sports

    Brian Jenkins turned the Bethune-Cookman University football program into a winner, but off the field former players and coaches say the program was rife with rules violations and teetering on the edge of dysfunction because of the animosity between them and Jenkins, who is the new head coach at Alabama State University.

    With one exception, they independently provided nearly identical details of rules violations and what they felt was Jenkins' mistreatment of players.

    Allegations against Jenkins and his program include:

    — Improper benefits provided to players;

    — Improper housing arrangements;

    — Continued and extensive violations of the NCAA weekly practice time limits;

    — Failure to pay three assistant coaches that resulted in a federal lawsuit;

    — And, bullying of staff and players with retaliation against those who spoke up.

    Prior to Jenkins' departure in December from Bethune-Cookman, officials there had conducted an investigation into a number of allegations, and assistant athletic director Tony O'Neal, who wouldn't answer questions about the investigation, said, "Anything that needed to be reported (to the conference and NCAA) was reported."

    "I talked with Coach Jenkins about those issues, and he was very up front with me about everything," Hines said. "My view on that is that it's all personnel matters from his previous workplace and this is a fresh start. (The trustees and I) have discussed those issues, and I made them aware of potentially what could be out there."

    The Real Rosewood Story with Historical Orator Lizzie Robinson Jenkins

    in Sports

    FROM THE DESK OF FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT, LIZZIE ROBINSON JENKINS:

    Long before The Real Rosewood Foundation was created, my mother strongly suggested researching the real truths of the Rosewood occurrence. The two of us shared the dark secrets of the Rosewood story over the years starting in 1943, when I was only five. For me, the most significant part of the Rosewood story is centered on its schoolteacher, Mom’s sister, my favorite aunt and mentor, Mahulda Gussie Brown Carrier.

    The memory of Rosewood is constantly on my mind. I have not been able to lay the burden of its history down. To my mother, Theresa Brown Robinson, Rosewood was a “song” etched in her heart. She promised my Aunt Mahulda that she would keep her secrets safely hidden, but the thought of what happened to her dear sister in Rosewood made the vow too tremendous a task to keep silent during the making of the movie, ROSEWOOD. As the title of the old Negro Spiritual suggests, “I Said I Wasn’t Gonna Tell Nobody but I Couldn't Keep It to Myself,” my mother was compelled to share her sister’s story, reliving the horrifying and hostile events she witnessed in 1923, at age 21. Mom contributed a great deal of information to the moviemakers; however, they used her information and did not properly give credit.

    She was offended after watching the Rosewood movie and charged me with completing her Rosewood research, firmly stating, "Mommy didn't raise no fools. You finish my research and tell our own Rosewood story. I have given you enough oral family history to make a documentary and you must do just that!"

    Network Marketing with Chris Carley

    in Business

    Chris Carley talks about Network Marketing and "How To Be Successful In MLM".

     Learning how to be successful in MLM usually starts with a great mentor.

    One of the Top questions that people ask her is....
    Do you see a pattern in people that 'make it' and people that don't?

    Here are some of her responses to that question:
    They don't read books.
    They don't do it everyday...... Like working out, you have to do it every day or you get out of shape FAST!
    They are not taught to turn within..... listen to that still small voice within.
    Your best asset is you...... In family matters, work and relationships so be aware of what you are thinking, blogging about, emailing about, forwarding emails....delete the negative, pass forward the positive.
    And last but not least..... INCREASE YOUR CAPACITY TO RECEIVE. YOU are the only one that can limit your capacity to receive. The problem is never NOT with the supply.
