Jennifer Bishop-Jenkins' views on gun control were born out of her own personal family tragedy, losing her sister, brother-in-law, and their unborn child to a 16-year-old "thrill killer." Living every day with the memory of her loss, and continually fighting to keep the killer behind bars, Jenkins has been a vocal activist on her sister's behalf.
She brings to the table the issue of the mostly ignored rights of the victims when advocating within the juvenile justice system to keep this "serial killer in the making" behind bars. Arguing against early release of underage killers who have been tried and sentenced as adults, Jenkins says, "The nationwide campaign to end JLWOP has spent millions of dollars advocating for these convicted murderers to be set free. Not a dime has been allocated for victim outreach or support."
On the other end of the spectrum, Jennifer Bishop-Jenkins and her family are active opponents of the death penalty, believing that prevention is the key to alleviating the devastation of crime rather than execution.

Despite what many think of as an incredibly complex predictive tool, astrology has aspects of it that are quite easily understood and incredibly useful. As a predictive tool, when properly used and interpreted, astrology can immediately illustrate a theme for a time and place that is extremely valuable when making plans, adjusting to relationships, or deciding how to pursue a career. Chris Flisher is a nationally recognized astrologer, an accomplished artist, teacher, speaker, writer, and radio host. Chris draws on his deep knowledge of astrology to create individual soul maps as well as healing mandalas. Astrology provides direct insight into the characteristics of the person, while the spiritual art of the mandala reflects the tangible experience of the healing soul. Using these time-tested tools Chris is able to guide people towards fulfilling their true purpose. Chris sees astrology and the mandala as complementary tools, that together, bring about greater understanding of the Self and provide guidance and optimism for challenging and changing times.
His desire to share this unique approach led him to launch his weekly radio show,"Turning of the Wheel" in September of 2007. The popular show features weekly discussions on a broad range of topics but primarily on astrology, art, and spiritual adventure. Chris is the author of “Mandalas ~ Spirit In Art” © 2007 (Blue Star Press) a collection of his artwork and descriptive writings, and he is a regular contributor to numerous national publications and on-line blogs about astrology. He can be found on Face Book, Twitter, and YouTube as well as Awakening ZoneRadio. His weekly newsletter has been a very popular subscription service.
