The legendary Katherine Dunham was more than just a dancer. She was an Anthropologist and a Historian who helped preserve the cultural heritage of African people through music and dance, bringing honor and respect to the ancient rituals of rhythmic body movements that recorded history. The Katherine Dunham Centers For The Arts and Humanities in St. Louis Missouri has been a beacon of light in preserving the rich African culture and inspiring many performers to appreciate the deeper meaning and uses of the dance expression. It is an institution that stands as a beacon of hope in a city so recently plagued with despair. Financial challenges threaten to cause the Katherine Dunham Center to be closed, and dedicated activists are fighting to raise the necessary dollars to preserve this institution. Will the community win this fight to maintain a powerful legacy? Professional dancer Laurie Goux, Artistic Director of SpiritWing Dance Ensemble and a student of the Katherine Dunham Technique, is organizing a cooperative community effort to preserve this historic site in St. Louis.

Nearly one-third of U.S. workers will become disabled at some point in their career before reaching retirement, according to a 2009 estimate from the Social Security Administration. Yet the federal agency says that 70% of employees aren't covered by private long-term disability insurance. Social Security disability benefits are available for certain disabled workers, but the average payout is only 40% of a person's income and the allowance rate for initial claims can be as low as 30% in some areas of the U.S.
Individual disability insurance is truly a basic concept. It is an insurance product designed to replace anywhere from 45-60% of your gross income on a tax-free basis should a sickness or illness prevent you from earning an income in your occupation. Your most important asset is your ability to bring home a paycheck, DI makes sure that regardless of any adverse changes to your health, you are able to provide for yourself and your family. Every disability insurance policy from every insurance company is very different, this is not a product to simply shop for the most competitive rate. To buy the cheapest disability insurance policy on the market is to throw money away. The odds of getting paid a monthly benefit under a cheap contract may be significantly lower than receiving benefits from a quality contract. The goal of this show is to provide you with information to make an educated decision on your own. I will provide you with information regarding the major features of a disability insurance policy so that you may better understand how to read a disability insurance policy. Before she was saved, Karen Dunham describes her life as "A messed up life and totally wore out by satan". Over 11 years ago, the Lord saved Karen and her son Blake from the clutches of the mafia and they have never looked back. The mafia's numerous attempts to kill them were thwarted by the Lord. While visiting Israel on a mission trip, the Lord spoke to Karen through a Jerusalem priest who told her, "if you will feed these people [meaning the Palestinian refugees], 'You will win the city for the Lord". Moving to Jericho, the only place they could find to live was inside a Palestinian refugee camp. Death threats, rocks thrown at them and great persecution came as they taught their weekly Bible classes. Their house and car were fire-bombed many times by extreme Muslims. But God protected them and their area of influence and ministry grew as they pioneered churches, opened educational centers, fed the poor, brought formula to the babies, rescued the perishing and birthed an international television broadcast to 133 nations, "Door of Hope".
Today, Living Bread is in many reconciliation projects throughout Israel and ministry offices are established in Gaza, Jerusalem and Jericho.

Becoming your own source of financing is one way many Americans are avoiding the ups and downs of the stock market and managing their cash resources.
nsurance fraud is big business in the U.S. How big? About $80 billion dollars a year—that's an average of $950 for each American family—according to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud whose members represent insurance companies, consumer groups, and government agencies.
The most obvious cost to consumers appears as higher premiums, because insurers pass on the cost of insurance fraud to policy holders. But consumers pay for insurance fraud in other ways, too. The cost of consumer goods and services rises when manufacturers, service providers, and merchants pass through their increased insurance costs. Fraudulent insurance investment schemes rob Americans, particularly the elderly, of hard earned savings. Staged auto accidents and arson not only destroy property but endanger lives.
What is insurance fraud?
