Tonight we honor the memory of Chris Farley. Christopher Crosby "Chris" Farley (February 15, 1964 – December 18, 1997) was an American comedian and actor. Farley had a loud, energetic comedy style, and was a member of Chicago's Second City Theatre and cast member of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live between 1990 and 1995. Farley and Chris Rock were introduced as two of the show's new cast members in early 1990. On Saturday Night Live, Farley created uproarious characters such as an overzealous Chippendales dancer and motivational speaker Matt Foley. During his Saturday Night Live tenure, he was making brief appearances in movies such as Waynes World and Coneheads. In 1995, Farley left Saturday Night Live to pursue his movie career. He hit box office gold with movies such as Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. Similar to his idol, John Belushi, Farley died of a speedball overdose at the age of 33. Farley is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison, Wisconsin.

Girls just wanna have fun. And to better serve the enthusiastic women of all ages who attended the Exxxotica Expo, a troupe of male dancers was imported from Chicago to entertain them. Tanner Sharpe is one of the dancers from Men-The Show, who was among the troupe enlisted to get the ladies riled up and ready. I first took notice of Tanner because he is a maze of tattoos from the waist up, and you know about me and tattoos. Naturally I had to photograph him. But then I had an opportunity for actual conversation, and after speaking with him I knew I wanted to interview Tanner. Some might say that strip clubs objectify and degrade women. Maybe these people have never seen what happens to women in the presence of male dancers/strippers -- loud and rambunctious, they rushed the stage and eagerly wanted a turn to sit in the “hot seat” to receive a lap dance. Are they now objectifying men? But of course they are! Established in 1979, Chippendales was the first all-male stripping troupe to perform for mostly female audiences. Through the quality of staging and choreography, Chippendales helped legitimize stripping as a form of popular entertainment. So who are these charismatic men who flaunt their sexuality and literally dance their pants off for women? I feel there is an Elvis Presley quality to them on stage – charming, sexy, energetic, and loved by women. Fantasy fullfillers of the highest magnitude. Tanner Sharpe is all that for sure. He looks like a model, he’s articulate, and he’s a recent law school graduate who is taking some time off but still needs a job. And he can dance too. This is the 3rd and final show on my experiences at Exxxotica this past October. After the interview, please check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more information.
