Mary Diaz and Human Conflicts Org. Demand More Paroles June 26, 2015

    in Politics Progressive

Mary Diaz on the "Huaman Rights Demand" radio broadcast. Mary is a prisoner activist who advocates for paroles and pardons. Tell us your opinion by calling (347)857-3293, or you can listen by computer live or hear the archived tape 24/7. Diaz is affiliated with "Human Conflicts," and "LET MY PEOPLE GO" is the motto. Mary lives in Florida, which had over 5,200 inmates who were parole eligible in 2014 but only released 18. Prison investors on Pardons and Parole Boards are a barrier to freedom for many rehabilitated inmates, I think.

Diaz said Alabama's Pardon and Parole Board has become a trendsetter for the rest of the country regarding releases. In Alabama during 2014, the Board considered 6,647 paroles, of which 2,237 were granted. The Board granted 657 pardons of 798 pardons heard and processed 522 voter rights restorations. That is real progress against mass incarceration. Some of the change may be credited to the ?Southern Poverty Law Center's lawsuit against the Alabama prison system.

"Presently, Maynard Cooper & Gale is fighting a Southern Poverty Law Center lawsuit that claims the health care provided to Alabama's inmates is inadequate and unconstitutional. Correctional health care firm Corizon is paying the firm to fight the lawsuit on behalf of the state due to a provision in its $224 million contract with the state. In total, the state has spent $1.86 million in taxpayer money to fight prison lawsuits in the past four years." reports AL(dot) com. That sum likely also includes a lawsuit by the ‎ACLU? for segregating inmates with HIV. Righteous lawsuits litigated in just courts matter.

January is our month for new beginnings. We'll discuss pardons, paroles, and successful re-entry this month at Human Rights Demand and at National Network in Action (NNIA1). Please participate!

Mary Diaz and Human Conflicts Org. Demand More Pardons, July 31, 2015

    in Politics Progressive

Mary Diaz and Human Conflicts Org. Demand More Pardons. Call-in (347)857.3293 to discuss the need for more pardons and paroles in Florida and other states. Diaz demands release of all inmates after serving minimum sentences unless authorities show reason to assume the release of a given inmate would present a danger to society. The Human Conflicts Org. also demands the release of elderly and dying inmates who would present no danger to society. Taxpayers are being burdened with paying to continue incarcerating rehabilitated prisoners, elderly prisoners, dying inmates, and persons who were convicted on nonviolent offenses whose release would not have any negative impact on society whatsoever.

  • Human Rights Demand for Justice

    in Politics Progressive

JUSTICE is the constant and perpetual disposition to render every man his due. It is the proper administration of the law; the fair and equitable treatment of all individuals under the law. Justice is also a title given to certain judges, such as federal and state supreme court judges. Justice is 1) fairness, 2) moral rightness, 3) a scheme or system of law in which every person receives his/her/its due from the system, including all rights, both natural and legal. One problem is that attorneys, judges, and legislatures often get caught up more in procedure than in achieving justice for all.
    (Read more at http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/justice ).

At "Human Rights Demand," we believe that justice is unlikely to happen where lawmakers and justice officials have a conflict of interest. Demand the resignations of lawmakers, judges, public defenders, prosecutors, Justice Department personnel and everyone else on the public's payroll if they are also PRISON INVESTORS. That is the only way to decriminalize mental illness, eliminate mass incarceration, and restore justice to our courtrooms. Tell public employees to DIVEST OR RESIGN. We must rid our government of everyone whose stock portfolios perform best with mass incarceration, wars, and when environmental concerns are ignored. Ask your congressional representative to introduce a bill that prohibits all lawmakers and other public officials and their spouses from earning prison profits. Pass such a bill, and we will see positive Change in the justice system. Only when prison investors can no longer write laws, represent and prosecute defendants, or preside over criminal cases will any semblance of justice arrive in U.S. courts.

"No man can serve two masters [his constituents and his stock portfolio]: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other" - Matt. 6:24.

Stop Mandatory Vaccines, August 26, 2015, Episode 1

    in Politics Progressive

Human Rights Demand channel presents Episode 1 of "Stop Mandatory Vaccines" on August 26, 2015. Our special guest is to be Dr. Shirley Moore, who will discuss H.R.15090. Call (347)857.3293 to speak on air.  Mary Neal, the channel director and host, will discuss a medical experiment that was done in the 1970's using Black girls in Fayette County, TN through the U.S. Health Dept. that has never been revealed, as far as I know. The experiments were for a birth control drug, depo provera, that was not released by the FDA until the 1990's. When I read about FDA's approval of birth control shots in 1992, I was shocked, because I have friends who were given the shots as minors some 20 years before. The medical magazine where I read about the "new" birth control said the drug was "tested on women in a third world country." That "country" would be my small hometown in Tennessee, and the "women" were actually children who were administered the shots and monitored like Alabama farmers who were subjected to the Tuskegee Experiments - a syphilis study that happened from the 1930's to the 1970's. Dr. Randy Short may join us, also. Please don't miss the show. It was very hard to schedule.

ANATOMY OF OPPRESSION – PART VIII

We supposedly have the inalienable right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but Black and Brown people live now and have always lived under and around arbitrary authority that is white authority. Control of education is an integral part of democratic organization - a very natural and obvious structure. Community Control of police is against the organization of government control from the top down.

An anatomy of oppression requires an ANATOMY OF COLONIALISM.  That is a description of the connections that we have which relates to our ability to access money, that is jobs, education, housing and all the other benefits related to this economic system that we live under.

Jim Crow is not dead but alive and well and growing by the minute. The question for our next broadcast is...Do we have the emotional capacity to deal with this reality?

THIS WEEKS EPISODE WILL REVISIT THE BLACK AGENDA REPORTANALYSIS OF THE  BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT within the context of the anatomy of oppression.     Ralph Poynter

    (1) Special Report from Mary Neal about her national protest initiative against Police Brutality.

    (2) Special poetry reading of Mondo Eyen We Langa by Lynne Stewart

    (3) In addition, this Tuesday, we will continue our special discussion led by Dick Minnerly and the radio panelists (Larry Pinkney, Lynne Stewart, Joel Meyers and Ralph Poynter) concerning the best form of government and thefundamental principles of proper government based on Mr. Minnerly’s book, "Human Nature."
