    Cultivating Spirituality in Children

    in Lifestyle

There is so much to talk about when it comes to spirituality. Which ofcourse means that we reached out to expert Dr. Rosie Kuhn for a third time!  Luckily for all of us, she agreed to continue our conversation which we started with her multiple shows ago. This time she will help us address questions like:

    What is spirituality?

Why is this an important topic for parents, grandparents, and for all of us?

What are some ways to clarify values for ourselves and our children?

How can we be in the world in such a way that children will follow our lead, and cultivate within themselves spiritual values and competencies?

It's All for the Children, with Kevin Annett

    in News

    It's All For the Children

Children are the inheritance of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is His reward. Please consider the enormous responsibility involved in raising children in righteousness. There is no greater task required of man than to lead children in the right path and provide everything necessary for their growth and protection. God requires parents to raise their children in the fear of God and to protect them from all harm. But what are people to do when the culture and society is making room for things that debase and demoralize people? The present generations are witnessing terrible crimes and abuses of children and this is the rotting of the whole of society.

The Shed That Fed A Million Children

    in Women

Do you believe it is impossible for one so-called “ordinary” person to have a major impact on the world stage? If so… think again!

Join us as Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow shares the inspiring story from his book, The Shed That Fed a Million Children. As a young man growing up in rural Scotland, he had no concept about what life held in store for him and his family. One day, while sharing a pint with his brother, he decided he wanted to do something to help the children of war-torn Bosnia. From this first idea a movement was born.

If you care about the children of the world, you won’t want to miss this account of inspiration, love and the power of hope.

Mother's Day: Mothering Children Who Are Not Biologically Yours

    in Christianity

We are continuing in our Mother's Day series. Tonight, my Aunt Wanda Humphrey will be talking with us about Mothering children who you did not birth from your loins. Sometimes our birth mother is not fit, ready, or able to take care of us, but God always has a ram in the bush. He always gives us a Mother to pour into our lives. A mother to love and nurture us, build us up and make us strong. Someone to teach us biblical principles and the way of the Lord. My aunt did this for two children that she did not biologically conceive, but she Mothered them from the time they were young children and she still is. She treated them the same as she did her own son. They were just as much a part of our family as her own son and I love that about my Aunt and our family. Tune in to listen to my Aunt tell her story.

LEARN about INDIGO CHILDREN presented by BELLA CONDINI! Do you have one?

    in Spirituality

Indigo children, according to a pseudoscientific New Age concept, are children who are believed to possess special, unusual and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities

The indigo child is here to bring us closer to our true essence. We think our minds are separate because of our bodies. These children know differently. A true indigo travels comfortably between worlds usually at night when we think they're asleep.

Our thoughts and feelings are not our own. The truth is, we have forgotten who we are and how our minds are connected to each other. Indigos remember and have an inner knowing that far exceeds our psychic abilities.

If you have more questions let us know.  I will send you straigh to \Bella  BY THE WAY  Bella is a EXCELLENT EXCELLENT COMPASSIONATE Life Coach

Fatherless children and the impact of not having one

    in Culture

children from fatherless homes are more likely to be poor, become involved in drug and alcohol abuse, drop out of school, and suffer from health and emotional problems. Boys are more likely to become involved in crime, and girls are more likely to become pregnant as teens.

    – Children in father-absent homes are almost four times more likely to be poor. In 2011, 12 percent of children in married-couple families were living in poverty, compared to 44 percent of children in mother-only families.

There is significantly more drug use among children who do not live with their mother and father.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services states, “Fatherless children are at a dramatically greater risk of drug and alcohol abuse.”

Data from three waves of the Fragile Families Study (N= 2,111) was used to examine the prevalence and effects of mothers’ relationship changes between birth and age 3 on their children’s well being. Children born to single mothers show higher levels of aggressive behavior than children born to married mothers. Living in a single-mother household is equivalent to experiencing 5.25 partnership transitions.

Children in grades 7-12 who have lived with at least one biological parent, youth that experienced divorce, separation, or nonFather involvement in schools is associated with the higher likelihood of a student getting mostly A’s. This was true for fathers in biological parent families, for stepfathers, and for fathers heading single-parent families.union birth reported lower grade point averages than those who have always lived with both biological parents.

Father involvement in schools is associated with the higher likelihood of a student getting mostly A’s. This was true for fathers in biological parent families, for stepfathers, and for fathers heading single-parent families.
