What is Chiari Condition? With symptoms like headaches, imbalance, acute weakness tingling hands, dizziness, insomnia, neck pain, and ringing in the ears, Chiaris can be hard to diagnose initially.
Chiari malformation affects roughly 1 in 1,000 Americans, yet about 95% of the population hasn't heard of it, although shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, House M.D., and Private Practices have all had Chiari storylines, bringing awareness to the mainstream culture.
Our guest, Vicki Styka, an Elementary Reading Specialist (& my sister), joins us to educate and inspire with her personal story of living with Chiari and going through the only real treatment of a very traumatic brain surgery on Tamara Leigh's TREND ON with Heidi Feemster LIVE every Wed. at 10:00am on the Linked Local Network.

IMAN STATED THAT SHE has a rare neurological disease called Chiari Malformation. It is a condition in which brain tissue (part of the cerebellum, the part the of the brain that controls coordination and muscle movement, to protrude into the space normally occupied by the spinal cord) resulting in the brain becoming to large for the skull. It can cause non-communicating hydrocephalus (water on the brain) due to obstruction of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). It can cause severe and debilitating headaches, chronic fatigue, loss of vision, ringing in ears, muscle weakness in the head and face, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, nausea, impaired coordination, increased intercranial pressure, rapid heart rate, fainting, excessive thirst, sleep apnea, sleep disorders, and, in severe cases, paralysis and death. There is no cure.

Today on Edge Quantum Techniques with Heidi and Tom we are going to be talking to Jessica who we tested last episode. Jessica has had chronic headaches and body pain issue associated with Chiari malformation for years. We did Quantum Techniques testing and clearing with Jessica last episode. We will see how things have progressed for her and do some additional testing and clearing.
Today on "Edge Total Health & Healing, Heidi and Tom we will be talking with a client who suffers from chronic headaches associated with Chiari malformation and multiple surgeries. We will be testing her and clearing the pathogen field to try to help bring healing for her.

What are Chiari malformations?
Chiari malformations (CMs) are structural defects in the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance. Normally the cerebellum and parts of the brain stem sit in an indented space at the lower rear of the skull, above the foramen magnum (a funnel-like opening to the spinal canal). When part of the cerebellum is located below the foramen magnum, it is called a Chiari malformation.
CMs may develop when the bony space is smaller than normal, causing the cerebellum and brain stem to be pushed downward into the foramen magnum and into the upper spinal canal. The resulting pressure on the cerebellum and brain stem may affect functions controlled by these areas and block the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)— the clear liquid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord—to and from the brain.
.Join hosts Tom Riddell and Robin Eduardo as they welcome author Rachelle Rose Hruska to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as Rachelle discusses what it's like to be a writer and she will also talk to us about her book:The Angel Within Me & The Angel Poetry Collection- The Year For Healing.
Fighting for a diagnosis and treatment for a supposedly rare brain disorder, is her main battle. As with many disorders, Rachelle has been faced with a medical wall of disbelief. Her inspiration to write this book came when she discovered just how many others have been going through this same battle due to lack of awareness and education on this disorder, Arnold Chiari Malformation. Although the traumas in her life are vast, Rachelle discovers an angel within her, and finds the inner strength and wisdom she needs to overcome life's difficulties. Learn her secret. This book could change your life!
And her Poetry Book will put a smile on your face and smile in your heart!
A SHOW TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF OUR FRIEND ESTEBAM AND TO HOPEFULLY RAISE AWARENESS FOR CHIARI MALFORMATION BY HAVING PEOPLE DONATE DIRECTLY TO HELP FUND RESEARCH @ http://asap.org/donation.html IN STEPHEN BAYNE'S NAME (AKA ESTEBAM). I KNOW THAT IS WHAT HE WOULD WANT.
(I found this video on Youtube that someone made in memory of Steve. I think it really shows his personality and sense of humor.)
