    Chemotherapy Recovery

    in Health

    While there is no “cure” for the over 100 known types of cancer, there are many different treatments available, including chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
    Increasing numbers of cancer patients are seeking caner treatments and treatment recovery modalities that are now included in the category of  Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). and at Immune Recover and Wellness Clinic we
    CAM therapies are commonly used to:
    empower patients by providing them with options and information they can use to take a personal interest and play in important role in their own care and recovery;
      help patients cope with the nausea, pain and fatigue associated with conventional cancer treatments;
      give patients a means by which they can manage the stress and emotional trauma often caused by a cancer diagnosis and resulting treatments;
      assist patients in discovering their optimal levels of health, so that their bodies are best equipped to heal. Listen in on this interesting episode as Bobbie talks about the alternative chemotherapy recovery and revitalization treatments available to you.

    Chemotherapy Neuropathy Treatment

    in Health

    Chemotherapy given for cancer–or other conditions, such as autoimmune diseases–can, unfortunately, cause nerve damage (neuropathy).
    Patients may or may not develop neuropathy based on which medications they are taking. Platinum-based chemotherapies in particular will usually cause neuropathy. Patients who undergo hormone or radiation therapy in addition to chemotherapy also have a high chance of developing peripheral neuropathy.
    Symptoms of chemotherapy neuropathy include tingling, numbness, and burning, usually in the hands, feet, and legs. The good news is, a neurostimulator is a drug-free alternative that can actually be used during chemotherapy. Other options light therapies such as include Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and LED Therapy. Manual therapies such as massage and spinal and joint manipulation are also crucial. Work with your team of medical professionals to find out which combination of these work best for you.

    CUTV News Radio spotlights Dana Engdahl of Heal With Dana

    in Health

    Spokane, WA – When Dana Engdahl was first diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer, she knew she wanted to treat it naturally, but she was too scared not to pursue the more traditional treatment of surgery, chemo and radiation.

    And so Dana chose to be healed at a cancer center that offered both traditional and alternative medicine and used natural healing to support her body and her immune system during chemo and radiation. These techniques did not interfere with what her physicians were already doing for her. Rather, they served as a compliment to traditional treatment and supported the process.

    Today Dana is a cancer conqueror, a certified Emotion Code and Body Code practitioner and the founder of Heal with Dana where she helps her clients balance their body energetically to restore physical and emotional wellbeing.

    “Cancer was my divine wake-up call,” says Dana. “I was not doing what I was called to do. This modality spoke to the core of my being. I believe it’s why I was able to conquer cancer and make it through chemotherapy and radiation. It kept me driven and hopeful during this process.”

    Dana says many of her clients are people just like her, dealing with a physical or emotional problem, and eager to engage every available resource toward healing.

    “I’m proud of having the courage to step into my new role,” says Dana. “I’m able to have a truly positive impact in people’s lives and my goal is to change as many lives as I can.”

    #Cancer Sucks! Period!

    in Health

    I can't begin to tell you how much I hate cancer. It took my mom's life in June 2012. It took my wife of 10 years away from me just five months later.

    All of us have (or will) deal with cancer in our lives at some point. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and people do an excellent job of getting the word out about preventive exams.

    Tonight, we will discuss how important it is to be medically aware and offer encouragement and insight for those dealing with this terrible disease.

    Also on tonight's show: what is a "bug chaser"?  It's a very disturbing trend that is more popular than one would hope.

    All of this, Zone Coverage, and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show. "No experts. Just opinions."
