Chemotherapy given for cancer–or other conditions, such as autoimmune diseases–can, unfortunately, cause nerve damage (neuropathy). Patients may or may not develop neuropathy based on which medications they are taking. Platinum-based chemotherapies in particular will usually cause neuropathy. Patients who undergo hormone or radiation therapy in addition to chemotherapy also have a high chance of developing peripheral neuropathy.

Hearing the words "you have breast cancer" results in a life-altering journey that ripples into every area of a survivor's life. Lockey Maisonneuve is using the lessons she learned during her own battle to teach others about life-enriching strategies. Lockey Maisonneuve is a Stage 3 cancer survivor. Prior to her battle with cancer, Lockey was an enthusiastic and driven personal trainer. In 2006, Lockey endured an 18-month battle with breast cancer. Along with a regimen of chemotherapy, surgical procedures were also included. Once she completed her treatment and recovery period, Lockey realized that many survivors did not know how to make themselves whole in body and spirit. The value of physical activity and exercise were sorely lacking in her recovery protocol. It was then that Lockey decided to do something about it. Upon completion of a specialized exercise training course through the Cancer Exercise Training Institute, Lockey created ‘MovingOn,’ a rehabilitative exercise program geared toward cancer patients. The focus was not just on the physical being, but the whole person. The ultimate goal of the program is to help women regain control of their bodies and their emotional beings. Lockey has appeared on WABCTV, WCBSTV, News 12, WKTU & Talk About Health Radio, to name but a few. She is also the recipient of the 2013 American Cancer Society’s “Luster for Life Award.” Join us on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 7 p.m. EST as we discuss breast cancer rehabilitation through exercise and other important methods with Lockey Masonneuve. Today Is our first show, Sunday October 20, 2013, and today our information sharing today includes examples of people who have regained their health by use of certain herbs that grow on this planet, no invasive surgeries, chemotherapy, or other drugs that have negative side effects, just a simple herb that delivers wellness to the users! What we are allowed to say in the USA (courtesy of FDA restrictions) is that this herb "detoxifies the blood", "oxygenates the blood", and "restores ph balance" to the body, three (3) components doctors have determined to be critical factors of general good health.
The 2nd part of today's topic, and what we will be covering for several weeks, is information from the book "The Hopi Survival Kit" by Thomas E. Mails, a book started back in 1993 (20 years ago) and published in 1997. The information Mr. Mails shares with us in this book is authorized by Dan Evehema, the Hopi Elder in 1993 who was, at that time, 100 years old. There is a great deal of information for our times now, and many of the Hopi prophecies have come to pass, including the First and Second World Wars, that the Hopi people knew of 800 years before they happened. Today's world is in need of this information to live in harmony with our planet, and our physical as well as spiritual lives are involved in this process.

Most teenage girls spend their time frolicking carefree with friends, try out new makeup trends and of course taking hours trying out the newest hairstyles. For Lauren all this came to a screeching halt when she was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma.
You would think that this sort of news would bring a young girl to her knees in desperation, yet instead this diagnosis brought her to her knees in a different way…it brought her to prayer, to a deeper love for not only God but for her life. She began seeing the beauty in the journey.
Don’t miss the messages this sweet girl has to share, she is well beyond her years and I promise just listening to Lauren will leave you with a deeper love for YOUR life. She is what HOPE stands for.
