Greg Call served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Ground Intelligence Officer. He deployed to Afghanistan and Africa in support of Operation Enduring freedom. Prior to the Marine Corps, Greg earned a graduate degree in managerial accounting from Michigan State University. Following graduation, Greg worked in corporate management consulting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan. Greg is currently the Founder/CEO of PatriotMove, a tech start-up providing free services for the military community.
Kaeya Majmundar is an undergraduate at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and serial entrepreneur most known for her appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank Season Finale. Her current products are BZbox, a collapsible storage box, Handykap, a physical therapy product, and Ringlee, a jewelry customization website.
George Perez studied drums and percussion at Boston’s Berklee College of Music in the mid-1980’s and followed it up with a successful career as the drummer in the Boston Indi rock band, 6L6, recording three Top 30 albums in the CMJ college charts as well as several tours across America.
After 6L6 disbanded in the late 1990’s, George changed his creative focus and relocated to the New York City area, where he went onto become a produced playwright and screenplay analyst for producer/director Lee Daniels of “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” and “Precious” fame.
In 2011, George teamed up with his friend, director Mohammad Maaty, to create “The Life,” an independently produced scripted drama series that helps raise awareness to the fight against child sex-trafficking in America.
Kathy Gruver is an award-winning author and the host of the national TV show based on her first book, The Alternative Medicine Cabinet (winner Beverly Hills Book Awards). She has earned her PhD in Natural Health and has authored two books on stress: Body/Mind Therapies for the Bodyworker and, just published, Conquer Your Stress with Mind/Body Techniques (Winner Beverly Hills Book Awards, Finalist for the USA Best Books Award).
She has studied mind/body medicine at the famed Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School and pursued further education at The National Institutes of Health. Rashida Thomas serves as an Internal Audit Consultant at CVS Caremark where she is responsible for assessing controls around the security, availability, and integrity of the organizations IT environment. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Community Externship Coordinator at Richland College for the Community Pharmacy Technician Program.
Rashida received a B.S. in Soil, Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a M.B.A from
Lindenwood University, a M.A. in Management and Leadership from Webster University and is a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Tara Maller serves as the Associate Director for Strategic Communications for the Franklin Project. She is also a research fellow in the National Security Studies Program at the New America Foundation. Previously, Tara worked at BrightWire Inc., a NY-based startup, where she served as the managing editor and managing director of Operations, Americas. She managed the media analyst team and provided editorial direction with regard to a wide range of economic and political topics.
Tara also previously served as a military analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency, where she focused on the Iraq insurgency. From 2010-11, Tara was a predoctoral research fellow at the Belfer Center for Science & International Affairs at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. During college, she interned in the DC Senate office of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. George Srour, 30, is the Founder and Chief Dreamer of Building Tomorrow, Inc. (BT). Srour attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where he graduated in 2005 with a major in Government and International Relations. Upon graduation, Srour was awarded the James Monroe Prize for Civic Leadership and the inaugural William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose. Using both awards, Srour started BT from an unused room in his parents’ house in the fall of 2005.
Rebecca Stifer is a student at UC Berkeley. She is majoring in media studies with an emphasis in tech. As a Sweat Pink College Ambassador, she helps college students find a balance between college and healthful living. She founded Sweat Pink Ambassador University in December 2012 and has helped bring the organization to 10 college campuses in the past year.
Rebecca is the community manager and business development manager for Fit Approach, an online health and fitness community. She manages Fit Approach’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+ and Pinterest accounts, manages 3,000+ brand ambassadors, and works with top health and fitness brands to increase their social media presence.
Rebecca is committed to living a healthy lifestyle where modification is key and activity is a must. Audra McLaughlin is a professional singer, song writer and current contestant on this season’s The Voice. Since she was a small girl, Audra wanted to be a singer. She recorded her first album when she was just 16, with a band that was called The Fallen. She completed to albums with the band, “Between The Devil and The Blue Sea” and “Between the Angles and The Deep Dark Sky”.
Audra has performed live on major commercial radio stations such as WRFF 104.5 in Philadelphia and WSTW 93.7 in Delaware. In addition to the live, on air, performances, she has also had album cuts played on WRFF, WSTW, WMMR 93.3 in Philadelphia, and WZZO 95.1 in Allentown.
Adam K. Levin has more than 30 years experience in consumer protection, real estate and government service. John Mikaelian, a first-generation college student, currently attends San Diego State University as a Marketing major. Before attending college at the age of 22, he managed day-to-day operations of his father’s small business when he was just 18 years old. Later, he worked for medium to large retail businesses including Sears, Best Buy, Toyota of Santa Monica, and U.S. Bank. After working in the retail industry for approx. five years and becoming a top sales performer, John decided to attend college and earn a college degree.
In September 2012, John published his first book, Reality Check: A College Student’s Survival Guide, to share his knowledge and experiences of his professional and educational careers with his peers. As a first-generation college student, John faced many challenges and he was under the impression that he had fallen behind compared to his peers. As a result, he completed 32 units (9 classes) during the Spring 2012 semester at LA Valley College and Pasadena City College with a 3.1 GPA for the semester. By doing so, it allowed him to graduate sooner and eventually transfer to San Diego State University.
