You may remember in the remake of The Parent Trap, in which a pair of twins (two Lindsay Lohans!) go on a camping trip with their dad and evil stepmom-to-be, Meredith Blake. The entire time, Meredith is dressed to the nines: full face of makeup, perfectly coiffed hair. Being in the middle of the woods but looking like she just stepped out of the salon is meant to convey how villainous she is.
Nobody wants to be a Meredith Blake on a camping trip. But there’s a big difference between high-maintenance, low-maintenance, and no maintenance. I’ve done the latter on many a camping trip (ratty gym T-shirt, chapped lips, and greasy bun). The result: I unintentionally photobombed every beautiful waterfall and mountain that I so carefully posed in front of. But you can be fresh-faced, au naturel, and still put together without much effort. Now I stick to these low (really low) maintenance tips, and pack just a few beauty essentials, so that I can show friends and family my vacation photos without having to cover myself with my thumb.

NYS licensed psychologist and certified forensic consultant, Dr. Michael Nuccitelli, discusses his recently published assessment tool, iPredator Bridge Warning Signs Checklist (IBWSC). A brief definition of the IBWSC is as follows:
iPredator Bridge Warning Signs Checklist (IBWSC): The IBWSC is a 50 item checklist designed to investigate if a loved one, colleague or peer is participating in or close to participating in harmful online and/or ICT activities towards others. Multiple affirmative responses to IBWSC statements suggests the person being queried exhibits patterned and/or observable behavioral patterns indicating they may be engaged in iPredator activities. The IBWSC focuses on confirmed behavioral observations and not upon personal convictions and/or philosophical reasons for harming others online or using ICT.
Self reflect, look at yourself and ask some questions: What kinds of tasks do or don't come your way regularly? For example, at work, at home, during study etc. What kinds of tasks come in large groups? What kinds of tasks need attention when they arrive? Examine critically how you might perform those tasks more efficiently. Before the next rush: Create a plan, procedure, checklist or routine to accomplish the task. Recruit and instruct others to assist with an urgent or large task. Try to prevent problems from ever arising. This means tackling possible failings in advance to prevent them from becoming a reality. Develop a mindset that looks to solve problems instead of dwelling on them.
Author Jim Meyer, author of Shoshone Pass, talks about the real West and the lives of ranchers as depicted in his books with host, Mark H. Newhouse, How To Sell Your Books Checklist in this chat that discusses gunslingers, racial stereotypes and the hard life of post-Civil War Wyoming. What is our fascination with Westerns that makes these books so popular? Is it the guns, the independence of its heroes or something we no longer possess, but still dream of? Or was it myth or reality, dream or nightmare?
