Singer, songwriter, independent recording artist and touring musician. These are just a few things that describe Ray Lawrence Jr. Music has been a major part of Ray's life and music is the one thing thing that has helped him to survive. Ray has many experiences that give him the ideas for the songs he writes and he thinks about those things he went through as he performs his songs. Even the cover songs he does of other artists are songs that have meaning for him. A song must mean something to sing it right so feeling can be put into it and this is what you will hear and feel when Ray Lawrence Jr. performs a song. The idea is to help you heal through the music and for you to have a song to help you feel better.
Ray Lawrence Jr was born the oldest of 8 children in Chicago, IL. July 4, 1963 and was raised in Southern California, 3 hours south of Bakersfield. Ray began his music career at age 5, singing in school plays and later learned to play guitar and learnied other instruments. Having a father from Texas who was a lover of country music and bluegrass and being raised in what was back in the 60's, a hot bed for country music, Ray was in a good position to be influenced by artists like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, Buck Owens, Lester flat and Earl Scruggs, The Dillards, AKA The Darlings when they were on The Andy Griffith Show, Hee Haw, The Beverley Hillbillies, The Johnny Cash Show and The Glen Campbell show. Join Donna as she talks with Eva Maria Martinez
Eva Maria Martinez embodies a lifelong passion for aerospace and aviation. A graduate of both the Royal Military College of Canada and the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering, Eva holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Management with a specialty in Aerospace. From 1993 to 2002, Eva worked as an Aeronautical Engineer in the Royal Canadian Air Force overseeing aircraft maintenance operations at 413 Transport and Rescue Squadron in Greenwood, Nova Scotia and later leading the Aircrew Life Support Equipment group at the Defence and Civil Institute of Environmental Medicine (DCIEM).
Eva retired from the military in 2002 as a Major. She is currently the Director of Program Management for Boeing Programs at UTC Aerospace Systems Landing Gear where her personal love for aviation and years of aerospace experience are put to use on a daily basis. She is also on the Board of Directors for Women in Aerospace Canada and was named a Women of Influence 2012 Canadian Diversity Champion. Eva provides leadership at every opportunity and mentors young women in the Region of Halton through the “Women as Career Coaches” programme
