Jane Chastain made history as one of the nation's first female sportscasters. She spent 17 years covering sports on television. In 1966 she was the first female sports reporter allowed on the field for a National League Baseball team (covering the Atlanta Braves), She was also the first woman allowed in the NASCAR pits. In 1974, she became the first woman in an NBA basketball locker room where she interviewed the Portland Trailblazers.
In 1963 Jane began her career making football predictions as Coach Friday for Atlanta's WAGA-TV. In 1967 she moved to Raleigh-Durham, NC where she covered sports for WRAL. In 1969 Chastain moved to Miami and worked for the CBS affiliate WTVJ-TV. In Miama she sent from three feature sports stories a week to anchoring the top sports news show in the market, with a record of 10 news stories in one day. In Miama she also worked with an independent producer on "The Jane Chastain Show-Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About Sports but Were Afraid to Ask, a series of 195 90 second vignettes which were inserted in local news programs in 88 of the nation's top television stations.
In 1974 CBS hired Chastain as the first woman to broadcast sports on a regular basis for a network. She covered teh NFL, NBA, the Cotton Bowl, the Sun Bowl, the Pan Am Games goft and tennis. Ater a one year contract with CBS, she returned to Miami for a year, then moved to Los Angeles where she anchored sports for KABC-Tv until leaving sports in 1978. Lesley Visser, another long-term female sportscaster says of Chastain, "She's our Jackie Robinson.)

Regan Smith got a ride at Tommy Baldwin Racing over the past week in a surprising move that saw young driver Alex Bowman lose his ride. We'll discuss what the future holds for Bowman and what we expect from Regan Smith in 2016.
David Ragan also found a ride, driving the No. 23 Toyota for BK Racing in 2016. Ragan will join teammate Matt DiBenedetto in the No. 83 Toyota. We discuss what we expect from BK Racing and if this was the right move or not.

JD Motorsports announced their plans for the 2016 season announcing that Ryan Preece and Ross Chastain will run a full season for the team and Eric McClure will run Daytona for the organization. The team is ready for the Chase.
Also Clayton is furious at that there has not been a solution for the Charter system as of yet. We are two weeks from teams going to Daytona and teams should know whether or not they're going to Daytona or not.
Blake Koch announced his plans with a new team for the 2016 season. It's good to see a new team start up in the XFINITY Series.

Jai Love, pronounced J Love, is a recording R&B/Hip Hop singer/songwriter from Huntsville, Alabama. She has performed in several areas in the Alabama region as well as Atlanta. She has worked with artists such as Tana formerly known as Montana Da Mac, Chastain Stone, Q Pee, Big Sam from Lil Jon and Eastside Boys, Bando Jones, Kwony Cash and Urban Mystic. Between 2012 and 2013, she won the Road to Success contest that was held in Huntsville by Atlanta, GA record label Urban Vision where she received a development deal with Urban Vision Ent. She did not accept the deal due to legal issues. She was placed on the ballot nominated for Female R&B Artist of the year at the Urban Vision Award in 2012. Also in 2012, She had teamed up with Jimmy Heart and the Spincity Radio family where she had her own nights on the Spin city Radio, an Online Radio station, called The Love Zone where she reflected on R&B/Pop/Soul and R&B Hip Hop artist. In late September of 2012, she joined Grind Nation, which is a group that was arranged by Jurian Isabelle, which gives other people a chance to display their talent in a fashion show. In 2014 she was nominated again for Female R&B Artist at the SMC Award Show in Memphis, TN. Jai is very active in her community as well. In spring of 2014, she joined a nonprofit organization, HSV Revolution that solely focuses on uniting and rebuilding the community with love. Presently, Jai just released her new EP, Love ( Letters of Various Emotions), on March 23, 2015, which can you download on Bandcamp at Jailove.bandcamp.com.
