"Over the years the relationship between the Zambian Diaspora and the Zambian Government has been a fractious one, often with brick-batting and recriminations. For some time now the Zambians who voted with their feet have been associated with people who ran away from the difficulties and struggles of the country for greener pastures with no heart for their home country. The Diaspora has countedred these assertions with various eloquent arguments including remittances to family members and other causes at home, professionals not being appreciated and properly recognized and the shortage of jobs at home." Please join us on this show as Zambians from all corners of the globe deliberate this matter concerning engaging our homeland and related eventual establishment of a Diaspora desk at state house.
Join us for an exciting new segment 'Women's Insaka' with a provocative discussions on Zambian customs and traditions with seasoned men and women who will communicate our rich cultural heritage. Living and raising a family in the Diaspora can be a challenge, Sharon will lead these discussions, it's imperative for you to share your challenges as the family settles in the Diaspora away from our aunts and uncles.
