Last week RevKess and KaliSara stayed on the "sunny side" of things. That's not going to happen this week. With Wednesday's mass shooting in Charleston, SC at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church there is little way to avoid the negative in the news. Dylann Roof, 21 yr old, is the suspected shooter in the deaths of 9 members of the church, including the pastor and state senator Clementa Pinckney. On a brighter note, Pope Francis II has issued a papal statement calling on all of humanity to acknowledge and battle climate change. Something that most Pagans can recognize as true. The first five months of 2015, on a global level, have been record breaking for high temperatures and this Spring has been one of the wettest in the Midwest of the United States - closing Pagan Spirit Gathering and threatening other events. This and more on PWN for Thursday 18 June 2015.
THE DEADLY SHOOTING DEATHS OF NINE BLACK AMERICANS IN A CHARLESTON, SC CHURCH LAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT LEFT MANY THINKING THAT ANOTHER FULL BLOWN RACIAL RIOT MIGHT VERY WELL ENGULF THIS BEAUTIFUL SOUTHERN TOWN. AFTER ALL, THE ALLEGED GUNMAN, DYLANN ROOF, WAS DEFINITELY A RACIST FILLED WITH HATE AND HE SHOWED LITTLE EMOTION AS HE GUNNED DOWN CHURCH MEMBERS ATTENDING A BIBLE CLASS WITH THEIR PASTOR, REVEREND CLEMENTA PINCKNEY, WHO WAS ALSO KILLED.
BUT CHARLESTON SURPRISED THE WORLD AS THE CHRISTIAN SPIRIT OF THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS, OTHER CHURCH GOERS AND THE OVERALL COMMUNITY RESPONDED WITH LOVE RATHER THAN HATE. AND YESTERDAY, A HUGE CROWD VISITED THE EMANUEL AME CHURCH TO SHOW SOLIDARITY WITH ITS MEMBERS IN THE WAKE OF THE TRAGEDY.
WHY WERE THINGS SO DIFFERENT IN CHARLESTON THAN THE EVENTS PREVIOUSLY IN FERGUSON AND BALTIMORE? AND WHAT CAN THIS TEACH US AS WE GO FORWARD IN A NATION THAT HAS SO MUCH HOSTILITY AND HATRED INSTILLED IN SO MANY?
JOIN NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE TONIGHT AS WE DISCUSS CHARLESTON AND HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT MAKES THINGS DIFFERENT. WE'LL SEE YOU AT 9 EASTERN.
Tonight I'm going live on air at 9PM EST on Madness & Reality Radio to discuss the discourse in reaction to the Charleston Shooting. We're going to talk about the debate over the removal of the Confederate Flag from South Carolina state house grounds. As well as whether the relatives decision to forgive Dylann Roof is problematic. We also will be discussing whether President Obama's use of the word "nigger" as he did in a podcast is problematic.
In this episode, Sacerdotus speaks on the recent tragedy involving the Emmanuel AME Protestant building in Charleston which was attacked by racist terrorist, 21 year old Dylann Roof. Roof entered the edifice and participated in a Bible study. He then shot and killed nine members of the Protestant community including the pastor who is also a state senator. The shooting has reminded Americans that racism is alive and well. It has also started a debate on the existence of the Confederate flag on State grounds. Sacerdotus addresses the tragedy and the events surrounding the Confederate flag.

Gun control advocates, the media and the President are quick to try and use the tragic event in Charleston, South Carolina as a flash point to bring the issue of gun control to the forefront once more. And the President was also using code when, in his statement, he said that "once again communities such as this one" have suffered these killings.
Al Sharpton was on a plane for Charleston faster than you can say "black lives matter" but for what purpose? To turn it into another Baltimore or Ferguson most likely. After all, he and the other purveoyrs of racial divide live for such moments.
Let's talk about psychosis, breaks from reality, overmedication, evil and the other factors that lead such murderers to act. Let's talk about who will have guns if they become illegal?
This tonight and more.
