On November 9, 2014, we lost a true General in the army of the Lord. Dr. Myles Munroe, Prolific best selling author and internationally renowned preacher and business coach, and his wife Mrs. Ruth Ann Munroe, died in a plane crash in the Bahamas. According to the Associated Press, the plane, a Lear 36 executive jet, reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area. It is not confirmed as of today November 10, 2014 that his daughter was killed in the plane crash as initially reported. We hpe to have more information on this by the airing of the show.

Halloween, a day beloved by kids of all ages, has another much older name, Samhain. Once again I'm delighted that Cathleen Kelly will join me to share in a celebration of this ancient autumn rite. In the Northern Hemisphere, autumn is a time that the Earth goes through an apparent death. Trees shed their leaves, harvested fields turn brown and cold with frost, and the land becomes a place of deep stillness. It is at Samhain we celebrate this transition and join in ceremony to remember the dead and honor our ancestors.
There will be readings and ceremony to deepen our understanding of this special day as we contemplate the endless cycle of life, death, and eventual rebirth. To heighten the experience listeners are encouraged to have the following assembled before the show: a white candle, a black candle, three ribbons or yarn, one black, one red, and one white, and some sprigs of rosemary. No need to worry if this isn't possible, but having at least a single candle on hand would be perfect.
If listening live on Wednesday isn't possible, this would be an excellent show to hear later in the week, especially on Friday itself.....Halloween! Cathleen and I look forward to your joining us as we celebrate this ancient and sacred day.
Cathleen's wonderful website, Holistic Horizons at Fiddlehead Grove:
This month brings a reminder to us to be thankful for the bountiful blessings that the Lord has bestowed on us. We are thankful for life, health, strength, employment, shelter, food, and a vehicle to drive. We are thankful for our family, friends, colleagues, and those that the Lord allows us to encounter to bring enrichment to our lives. We are thankful for a loving God and patient Father who extends mercy to us daily and for grace everflowing. We have so much to be thankful for! This show will share scripture and encouragement as you remember and rejoice for all of the many ways the Lord has been good! We will talk with you then!
