Few new artists embody the spirit of downtown NYC more completely than Cazwell. A leading figure in the renaissance of New York City nightlife that has taken place over the last five years, Cazwell’s music—a ridiculously fun mix of electrified dance music and old school hip hop—is the perfect example of the new spirit of pop. Bridging the gap between avant garde club culture and the cutting edge of mainstream music, Cazwell is one of today’s most unique and charismatic performers, who in his own words sometimes describes his style as, “if Biggie Smalls ate Donna Summer for breakfast.’”

Take the offspring of New Jack Swing, infuse with funky rock, add high energy performances, and you get the music of Farrad – a potent performer and songwriter who leaves crowds mesmerized, inspired, and bumping in unison to the beat.
Farrad debuted “The Way U Do”, at Joe’s Pub on New Year’s Eve, 2009. Through a little hustle, a lot of excited audiences and great response to his music, momentum’s building toward the official release of his first solo album, The Time Is Now.
The album’s received such positive response that Bunim/Murray Productions licensed the rights to his entire album for shows including: MTV’s Real World/Road Rules: Extreme Challenge & The Stylist; Keeping Up With The Kardashians & Khloe and Kourt Go To Miami on E!; and Bad Girls Club on Oxygen.
He appeared on the 2008 NewNowNext Awards on Logo with his fellow Dazzle Dancers, and he performed with Cazwell opening for Lady Gaga at the Highland Ballroom. Farrad has also rocked audiences at diverse venues such as BB King’s, Sugarland, Santos Party House and The Delancey in NYC; as well as The Endup in San Francisco. He has also just recently been confirmed to perform on the 2009 Pridefest Stage on the Hudson.
He recently lent vocal, dance and acting talent to the internationally renowned Big Art Group and their meta-cinematic theatrical event, S.O.S.; touring New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Montreal.
Having performed in groups and as a solo artist all over North America, Europe and Australia, Farrad’s excited to take his entire album to the dance floor and into the mainstream.
Get ready for clever, heavy-hitting, urban-crossover jams that won’t leave you sitting for long. Raw emotion, precise delivery, killer hooks…and a whole lotta soul.
