The magic of xylitol continues to put fluoride to shame. Dental hygienist Lisandra Maisonet, started her patients on a protocol of xylitol five times a day in August of 2012. Since that time patients have been buying xylitol products from the office she practices in, Newtown Dentistry for kids, the office of Dr. Christine Landes.
This past year, her practice has done 1600 fewer fillings! That's nearly one less filling per hour in a year of dental visits. How does that affect you? Xylitol is easy to get and easy to use. You can be readjusting the bacteria in your mouth to be more healthful.
Listen in as Shirley and Lisa talk xylitol and how you can have fewer cavities by watching your xylitol intake not your sugar intake. Sugar doesn't cause cavities, bacteria does!

If that 9 year old is your child, what do you expect from your dental team? You've cut down on sugar, you've eliminated pretzels, juice, candy treats, what else is there? Flossing??
Listen today as Shirley Gutkowski tells of how to use xylitol for the family to reduce dental decay and make life better. Eliminating sugar is not the only answer, you'll see that in families where one or two kids get all the cavities and the whole family eats the exact same things.

Fluoride: The Alarming Facts
Have you ever looked at the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for sodium fluoride the common compound used to prevent cavities? Well we have so you don't have to. Here is a small sampling:
Special Remarks on other Toxic Effects on Humans: Acute Potential Health Effects: Skin: Causes skin irritation and possible burns, especially if skin is wet or moist. Eyes: Causes eye irritation and burns. May cause chemical conjunctivitis and corneal damage. Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Causes digestive (gastrointestinal) tract irritation and burns. May cause severe and permanent damage to the digestive. Ingestion of large amounts may cause salivation, thirst, nausea, vomiting, hypermotility, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. May affect behavior/ central nervous system/nervous system (headache, nervousness, dizziness, seizures, convulsions, tremor, muscle weakness, somnolence), respiration (respiratory depression, dyspnea), cardiovascular system (weak pulse, hypotension, dysrhythmias, cardiac arrest), liver, urinary system (polyuria, polydypsia) brain, metabolism (loss of appetite, hypcalcemia, hyperkalemia, hypomagnesia, ), teeth, bones, and blood (changes in red and white blood cell count, interference in blood coagulation) Inhalation: Causes irritation and chemical burns of the respiratory tract with coughing, breathing difficulty and possibly nasal septum perforation and coma. May affect bones. Chronic Potential Heath Effects: Chronic ingestion may cause fluorosis.
Pretty scary stuff for something that we're told is good for us. Well the US wasn't the first to use it do control a population, the Nazis did it too and like some many of their bad habits, the US soon adopted the use of fluoride we are told for our benefit, but the truth is something different.
Judy Sellins and Dave Turco will tell you all about the hidden agenda and the alarming facts behind the use of fluoride.
Mysterious, pyramid-like structures spotted in the Egyptian desert by an amateur satellite archaeologist Angela Micol might be long-lost pyramids after all, according to a new investigation into the enigmatic mounds.
Angela Micol, who last year found the structures using Google Earth 5,000 miles away in North Carolina, says puzzling features have been uncovered during a preliminary ground proofing expedition, revealing cavities and shafts.
First reported by Discovery News, her claim gained widespread media attention and much criticism. Authoritative geologists and geo-archaeologists were largely skeptical and dismissed what Micol called "Google Earth anomalies" as windswept natural rock formations -- buttes quite common in the Egyptian desert.
Micol launched Google Earth Anomalies in the early 2000's and Google Earth Anomalies, an active Facebook page.
In this program we'll discover the importance of satellite imagery in discovering Earth forgotten past, and how each of us can view parts of Earth that provide new understanding for how our ancestors lived.

Psalm 128:2 says: "For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee."
Our quote for today is from Pablo Picasso. He said: "Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone."
Today, in the Get Things Done podcast we are looking at Part 4 of Step 5: "Raise Your Energy Level."
We've discussed exercise and relaxation as methods of fighting procrastination. The third physical aspect that we will deal with is diet. It's a big subject, one we won't go into in depth, but suffice it to say that so far as fatigue is concerned one big culprit is sugar. Most of us eat many times as much sugar as we should.
Lots of people think sugar is supposed to produce energy, but it just isn't true at least not in the way they think. Every week the average American eats more than two pounds of refined sugar, much of it hidden as an ingredient in various manufactured foods (one popular brand of ketchup is 29% sugar!) If eating refined sugar really produced energy, we would be a nation of live wires and lethargy would be unknown.
It is true that low blood sugar means less energy, but the proper way to maintain the right amount of sugar (glucose) in your blood is through a balanced diet. When you zap your system with refined sugar (sucrose) you trigger the release by the pancreas of large amounts of insulin to counteract the sugar shock, and this insulin overcompensates, resulting in a much lower bloodsugar level than you originally had. And one result of this process is fatigue. It sounds complicated, but that's the way it works. (There are other undesired effects of too much sugar, including weight gain and dental cavities, but this isn't the place to go into that.)
