With today being the premier of Batman: Dark Knight Rises. I figured it would be the purrrrrrrrfect time to run my interview with Lee Meriwether who played the role of Catwoman in the 1960s Batman movie with Adam West and Burt Ward.
In this interview Lee covers a lot of ground by discussing her time as Miss America and her roles in Batman, Star Trek and much, much more.
i saw the trailer for the new show done by dc comics gotham and i am not happy with the show at all. first how is a 8-12 year old bruce wayne going to learn on how to become the batman. and showing the villains for the first time before they become famous. there doing this all wrong. the way i would done it by having bruce wayne a 18 or 19 year old kid all grown up and he just came back to gotham and he learning day by day on what going on in the city when he been gone. and plus have few villains like riddler, catwoman, the mob,the penguin and harvey dent before he becomes two-face then later on turn him into two-face and each villain have there own place they can run in the city. and later in the show bring in other ones like joker and the end of season 1 and start it out with him in season 2. each villain teams up to take down the batman or have there own truff war on who owns what. but it also up to jim gordon and havery bullock to take them down also with the help of batman. that how they should do the tv show gotham but more like darker version of smallville. and also have tom welling come in and team up with batman and call it world finest. there show much they can do with this show but there going the wrong way with it. plus i think that john goodman would make a perfect harvey bullock for the show.

Take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of chocolate cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world, and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. This week we talk fondly about good B movies and campy television, from Plan 9 to Batman The Series to Monsters to Sharknado to our new favorite, Slient But Deadly (now out on DVD and coming soon to Netflix!). We talk to the movie's director/co-writer/co-producer/co-star Jason Lockhart (The Casting Couch) and, yet again, to Jacqui Holland, who happens to be the movie's co-writer/co-producer/co-star as well, about their baby. Also, a small taste of our long interview with living legend Lee Meriwether (the silver screen's original Catwoman!) about her experiences on the Silent But Deadly set.

ladies and gentlemen it's Friday, and you know what that means, that's right, your weekly dose of the ridiculous, and this week has been ridiculous. On episode 56 we talk about what's on everyone's minds right now, that's right, Double stuffed oreos, not actually being double stuffed, Affleck is Batman, Aquaman gets his own movie (Damon?) Sony continues to take potshots at Microsoft, and Microsoft continues to not respond, fanboy/girl-ism gets taken to far, Skylanders makes ridiculous amounts of money, League of Legends hacked, CT lawmaker pleads with with game manufactureres about licensed fire arms in games, all this and more on ep 56, If J-lo is catwoman I quit.
In this episode of The Culture of Comics, we will discuss the worst Superhero movies of all time. Or at least, what's speculated to be the worst. We'll provide some commentary on:
The 2 Hulks before the 3rd one
and, as always, our "Picks of the Week"
The Culture of Comics has longer, meta discussions about themes and art in current runs of different books. It will often contain "spoilers" in current runs and "previews" of upcoming books.

On tonight’s show, we’ll be doing something very unusual. For the first time in its history, Femslash4Fans Radio will feature a guest who has little involvement with femslash - for a very good reason. The women of Chris Dee's Cat-Tales are an absolute thrill to read. Like all of her characters, there is a depth and complexity that makes them so real and so human. (And since this is Gotham City, Crazier than ever in a few cases!)
This summer, as you know, I’ve tried various ways to expand this show to cover a wider array of “femslash” topics and a wider array of “fans” topics in general. Several past guests have written plenty of stories about heterosexual couples, therefore, tonight we are returning to the DC Comics universe to speak with Cat-Tales author Chris Dee.
The Cat-Tales universe is based on a very simple principle: DC Comics is a tabloid called The Gotham Post. Like the more sensational tabloids, some of what they print is accurate: there is a place called Gotham City, there's a vigilante there called Batman, he fights a Joker, a Poison Ivy, and so on. But after those broad brushstrokes, the facts get pretty distorted. Cat-Tales tells the real story.
As the title indicates, Catwoman is the central character and her relationship with Batman is the heart of the series. And it must have been a scratch where an awful lot of fans itched because it's now in Book 6 and the series is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary.
Chris has expanded her series to include a number of spinoffs, a website with a wonderful fan art gallery, the stories are available as downloadable PDFs for printing and as e-books. There's even a Visitor Center in Second Life. Tonight we’ll talk about everything that makes Cat-Tales great. (And maybe a little Harley/Ivy.)
The turbo-charged return of Chaplain Batman's Whiz Bang Radio stars with Batman the TV Show as its main topic of discussion.
