WHAT IS CONSCIOUSNESS AND WHY IS IT NECESSARY IN OUR LIVES???

    in Self Help

What does being spiritually conscious person really mean?

f you ask someone what it mean to be unconscious, he or she is likely to respond by saying that being unconscious means to be unaware of what is going around you.

We are always choosing to live our lives from a material consciousness or a spiritual consciousness…. From the finite or the infinite, from the visible or the invisible.

We understand that consciousness varies with our sleep and waking cycles.

Of course,When we're wide awake, we are more aware of our environment than when we're fast asleep,  and even when we're fast asleep, however, some information gets through.

On the other hand, what does being spiritually conscious mean?

A spiritual consciousness is experiencing life through spiritual discernment, paying attentionto our insticnt and intuition.

We see past the physical form to the spiritual essence.

What are the actual benefits of becoming more conscious?  Why would anyone care to do this?

Raising your consciousness can enhance your spiritual development.

All of these are skills that we develop ,Traditional education teaches us basic skills and basic knowledge, but it does little to show us how to develop our conscious minds.

We aren’t taught how to intelligently make the biggest decisions of our lives, how to cultivate a burning desire for what we want,.

Join me Janice Clarke, Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Nutritional Consultant, Reiki Practitioner and HOSTOF THE SOULFUL HEALING TALK SHOW,

To discuss what is consciousness, what comes with consciousness and how necessary it is in our lives.

The Gettin It In Show: Black Lives Matter & Our Rights!

    in Radio

The United States of America states, “It’s the home of the brave and the freedom of choice nation.” However they have created rights and laws to protect everyone but the African American People. The homosexual community has laws that protect them from people saying anything about their lifestyle and society forces people to respect it to teach their children compassion for it, why? You have a right to choose if born a man to become a women, but if you decided you want to be about your race of people you are considered racist and its frowned upon, why? If a person feels like a threat to a brutha or sista and we decide to take matters into our own hands we are considered the enemy, why? Our bruthas are being racially profiled by the police to the point that shooting them can be justified why? Should we fight for our rights to raise our kids and teach them that homosexuality is wrong? Should we fight for rights to protect ourselves by any means? What happens when we don’t say anything at all? How do we win this thing? Tune in family!

We can stop heading in the wrong direction and start moving in the right direction any day we choose to. Our problem most times are we are doing the same things expecting different results. If we want different we must do things in a different way or manner.

Our Viral Lives: Young Activists Discuss HIV/AIDS

    in LGBT

Unfortunately, some people believe that HIV/AIDS is over. Many of us know better. While the leaders of the early movement are very visibile to some -- names like Peter Staley and Mark Harrington come to mind -- some are unsure about who will be leading the movement of tomorrow. More importantly, what will the HIV/AIDS epidemic look like in the future? Today, we will speak with four young activists who recently presented at New York City's LGBT Center about their work as young HIV/AIDS activists. We will talk with Kyle Bella, the founder of Our Viral Lives, a digital narrative project, Martez Smith, an HIV+ black public health student, Kia Labeija an artist and photographer and a part of New York City's famed House of Labeija and Charlie Ferrusi, an MPH student who hopes to enter the world of government work and make advocacy for underrepresented populations his focus.
