Finding Joy in Every Situation: A Look at Gratitude ~ Cathy Towle

    in Spirituality

A lot of people are looking for purpose, to find the right work and the right path. Something is calling you and you don’t quite yet know what it is. We search and wait for answers. We try out many things. What we often forget, is that this Right Path starts inside of us as gratitude. It’s not the finding of the perfect thing that makes us happy, it’s the act of being happy that brings the right things, people and opportunities right into our lives. In a state of appreciation, we are connected to joy and can view even the most challenging things as a blessing. Cathy will talk about how her connection to her guides helped her out of many difficult situations and how your own guidance can do the same.

Cathy Towle is an Interfaith Minister and Spirit Medium providing Intuitive Guidance and healing messages from spirit. Cathy is one of the few mediums certified by Forever Family Foundation, was ordained by One Spirit Interfaith Seminary and is initiated into the shamanic path. Cathy has worked with leading spiritual teachers, including Andrew Harvey, with whom she founded the Institute for Sacred Activism. She is on the Executive Council of the Committee for Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns (CSVGCNY) at the UN, and writes for The Village Newspaper in New York. She speaks about Eco-Spirituality and heads the CSVGC-NY Eco-Spiritual Working Group.

    Publisher Holloway Gray Jr.

    in Radio

Holloway Gray has an extensive background in serving as an armor bearer.   Within the nearly 20 years of experience that he holds, he knows the various levels of servanthood which began with volunteering before becoming full-time ministry.Mr. Gray began his call to ministry as a volunteer in 1988 after joining the church under Bishop Jakes’ leadership.  He never limited himself to what needed to be done.  Whether it was vacuuming, emptying the trash or cleaning the bathrooms, he made it a point to help where needed. As the ministry grew and Bishop began traveling and producing materials, he volunteered in audio duplication; helping to package and ship product.  Later with various conference and crusades being added to the ministry schedule, he would take vacation time from his job and travel to serve the conference as a volunteer, selling product, helping with conference details and greeting delegates at the meetings.During the course of serving, Mr. Gray went on to be consecrated a Deacon in 1993 and continued to serve the church through helping in Sunday School; making sure the church was opened for services in a timely manner and closed when the services had ended.  He began to take on more personal responsibility for Bishop through assisting with his wardrobe; pressing clothing when needed, packing and unpacking as he traveled. Two years into volunteering in various capacities, opened the door of opportunity for Mr. Gray to begin serving as an Armor bearer through on-the-job training.  He began traveling when possible and serving both as a Deacon to the church and armor bearer to Bishop Jakes.Five years later, that faithful and accountable, volunteer service grew into full-time ministry.  Mr. Gray has trained other Deacon’s and men in the church to serve as armorbearers and oversees a volunteer base who rotate under his leadership.  He has shared his teaching and training on various occasions.

Show #106 - Interview with Cathy Brown, Newly Appointed Executive Director

    in Business

Cathy Brown, Executive Director, Engagement Success

As Cathy said on her recent blog on our website, we've known her for a while (in fact Cathy was one of the first two secondees for EFS) but the nature of our relationship has just changed. Cathy was recently appointed as the new Exec Director for Engage for Success.

That same blog has a video that she recorded to talk about, what we are affectionately calling, her 'manifesto', the content of a presentation that she gave at her final interview for the role, all about her thoughts and plans for the role and the movement moving forwards.

Join us as we talk about the next phase of the movement moving further into 2015 and beyond.
