With the release of her seventh full-length album and a brand new endorsement deal with Two Old Hippies, who worked with Breedlove Guitars to build her a new custom-made guitar, Katie Garibaldi has proven herself to be an artist with undeniable talent and lasting appeal. Based in the golden city of San Francisco, this determined and enthusiastic singer/songwriter/guitarist is an avid national touring performer who has amassed a devoted fan base, due in large part to her engaging live shows and a personal connection to her listeners through her music. Katie sings with an emotional resonance that, combined with her catchy melodic songs and her soulfully expressive vocals, captures her audience wherever she performs. While she’s been compared to household names such as Sheryl Crow, Jewel, and Taylor Swift, Katie has a charismatic musical style all her own wherein her equally pop- and country-tinged folk-rock gives her a distinct and edgy sound—Americana with sparkling and memorable melodies.

Saxman Sam Rucker, come on down! You’re the next prospective big performer on the contemporary jazz scene. Truly an artist with finesse and character, Rucker steps out with hissophomore release Tell You Something on the heels of his 2011 Heat From the Heavens debut. Mixing some tight hip hop tanginess with the tasty sauce of smooth and the inspirational and energetic touch of gospel, Rucker is looking for it all in one fell swoop…and he can easily get it all with material like that found on this masterfully produced album.
Working with the likes of Norman Connors, Bobby Lyle, Tom Browne, Alyson Williams, and Euge Groove (Euge is handling the mixing and mastering at his Groove House for this one), the saxman saunters through cover grooves like “Footsteps in the Dark,” “You Are My Starship,” and “Before I Let Go,” along with striking originals like the catchy, sassy mid-tempo lead and title track that immediately captures the essence of the man and his love for this music. You can bet Sam Rucker is not a name you are likely to forget any time soon.

Rock, alternative, fun and catchy! All words that could describe Atlanta's own 'Sugar on the Dashboard.' Young, and ready to take over, they have already carved out a name for themselves in the ATL. They have headlined their own shows, as well as opened for touring bands. And, they are all in. This is the dream, and they are accepting nothing less than success in the music business, and they bill themselves as "your new favorite band." And, with the talent shown, they very well could be.
They have just completed an EP called Discovery is Dead, and the quality of not only the music, but the recording as well, they are on their way.

This week on Third Eye Cinema, prepare to be scared as we confront the vampire in her lair!
Emerging from Florentine Tuscan roots to an increasingly prominent role in one of the more unique and memorable of acts in gothic metal, she's played both frontwoman and visual focus for one of the most notable darkside-leaning acts to hail from the incongruously sunny shores of the Mediterranean!
With a proper operatically trained background and a striking look, she’s spearheaded some major changes in her band, emerging from a more obvious black metal coccoon to develop into a more bombastic, harmonically oriented and often stylistically syncretist force in the gothic metal scene!
With a unique focus on sexuality and Anne Rice-Hammer Studios style vampirism, her band has never been less than interesting, with a well crafted, catchy and often affecting sound and stage show drawing in equal parts from the gothic rock, dance-industrial and gothic metal scenes!
Join us as we welcome freely and of our own will the alluring Princess of the Night herself, the lovely Sonya Scarlet of Theatres des Vampires, only here on Third Eye Cinema!
Week 84 (Sun. June 22) - Sonya Scarlet of Theatres des Vampires
