The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT).
Last week we talked about the business leadership cliff and how to avoid it, and this week we’re going to talk about productivity and e-mail excellence.
Yes, that right — productivity and e-mail excellence. The fact is, no matter how much some of us feel that e-mail is killing “world of work” productivity, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
And while companies are losing worker productivity, employees are extending the length of their workdays, going to the office on weekends, and checking their e-mail while on vacation because they can no longer manage the volume of communication that requires their attention. This is how e-mail habits have become toxic to individuals and businesses alike.
Blech. But instead, why don’t we have a “productive” conversation around why and how unhealthy e-mail practices are sapping personal and business productivity, what you can do about it, and how much time you can reclaim for yourself and your business.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn about productivity and e-mail excellence with this week’s guest: Marsha Egan, CSP, PCC, CEO of The Egan Group, ICF Certified Professional Coach and professional speaker, and a leading authority on email productivity.

DTong will be hosting this music feature w/ 10 tracks from the band Catalina Shortwave! The tracks are from their new album 'REPEATER' which is available today on CDBaby and iTunes!
Catalina Shortwave is a rock and roll band. Proudly lo-fi, they draw from punk and R&B, hard rock and country, for a sound that has been described as unique, dynamic, and genre-smashing. The players are hardscrabble New York/New England music veterans who weave their hearts and lives into their music. With their album >>Repeater>>, they left their blood on the strings. Live, they are passionate, electric; they grab an audience and don’t let go until they leave the stage.

Such a FABULOUS October already! Gregg Karukas and Kiki Ebsen last week - and two more guests on 10/7 that are absolutely FUN! Jonathan Widran joins us in the second hour of the show - and it's going to be a ball to have him return. Jonathan has thrilled us for years, writing about, reviewing or interviewing Jazz legends. And Pop and Rock artists, too. He's a Chicago native who found his way to Los Angeles and got his degree in English at U.C.L.A. Within two years after graduation, he was introduced to what would be his amazing life via the Catalina Jazz gathering - right around this time - in 1988. Friend Dan Margules had lit a fire in Jonathan concerning Contemporary Jazz - and that fire has blazed uncontrollably (blissfully!) via columns and articles from local publications to national and international magazines and newspapers. He has also managed to write FIVE books on varying topics! Jonathan is considered a "first-call" freelance public relations writer. And does he love to DISH about those in the business :) What a joy to have him with us!
North Carolina born, Geoff McBride, is probably no stranger to your ears. He lit UP "The Voice" a few seasons ago with his blind audition of "Higher Ground!" Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green about lost their minds - and so did WE. The Church foundation of his youth, coupled with the inspiration of Seal, Luther and James Taylor, propelled Geoff into the spotlight that he so richly deserves. If you can blow away his mentor on the show, Lionel Richie, THAT says everything! Geoff's sparkling story is told by way of CD, "Journey to the Soul." He says, "My foundation is in Soul Music - but I am not just a Soul Singer." THAT is because everything he does generates FROM there! Once you hear a few tracks from this Powerhouse, you'll KNOW!
Gene Robinson and Mike Hennig from RP Search Services will tell us about the Big Plano Texas Search using the Nist owned MLB Super Bat UAS. Patrick Egan will discuss his recent trip to D.C. for the FAA BVLOS meeting and his attempts at some impromptu UAS SAR. There will also be some time for discussion about other drone related current events including the sUAS News Conservation RPAS 2014.
If you mention the Piano Man, Billy Joel quickly comes to mind, while others would be quick to reference Elton John. However, at the Jersey Shore and far beyond, our Piano Man will always be the one and only Bob Egan. Pianist, producer, entrepreneur and entertainer, Bob Egan has carved out a niche as one of the region’s premier musicians. Most of us Jersey Shore locals know Bob for his open mic nights and showcases at two popular venues in Asbury Park -- Moonstruck and Mc Loone’s Supper Club. But it should be no surprise that Bob’s musical reach extends far beyond Asbury Park. For over 30 years he has appeared at various restaurants, clubs, private parties, and corporate functions in Bucks County, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York. Bob appears frequently at Bowman's Tavern in New Hope, The Nassau Club in Princeton, The Bernards Inn in Bernardsville, The Clinton House in Clinton, and The Ryland Inn at Whitehouse Station. I’m sure there’s even more, but it’s too much for me to mention here. Catch one of Bob’s shows for a guaranteed good evening of music and entertainment. Talented and charming, this guy definitely knows how to engage his audiences and make the experience memorable for everyone. His repertoire features an assortment of over 2000 Broadway hits, sing-along favorites, movie songs, the best of pop from the 20's to the 90's, and especially the great standards of Berlin, Porter, the Gershwins, and Rodgers & Hart. This is Bob’s second time on JCL, and I can’t wait to find out what he’s been up to! After the interview, check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for additional information.
