SORT BY Relevancy
Carson Buckingham knew from childhood that she wanted to be a writer and began, at age six, by writing books of her own, hand-drawing covers, and selling them to any family member who would pay (usually a dime) for what she referred to as “classic literature.” When she ran out of relatives, she came to the conclusion that there was no real money to be made in self-publishing, so she studied writing and read voraciously for the next eighteen years, while simultaneously collecting enough rejection slips to re-paper her living room…twice.
When her landlord chucked her out for, in his words, “making the apartment into one hell of a downer,” she redoubled her efforts, and collected four times the rejection slips in half the time, single-handedly causing the first paper shortage in U.S. history.
But she persevered, improved greatly over the years, and here we are.
Carson Buckingham has been/is a professional proofreader, editor, anthologist, newspaper reporter, copywriter, technical writer, novelist, short story writer and comedy writer. She loves reading and gardening; but not at the same time. Though born and raised in Connecticut, she lives in Arizona now—and Connecticut is glad to be rid of her!

On this edition of Carson's Corner, Bob flys solo this week, as he discusses some of the issues facing the working class. First, as Election Boycott Advocate and former campaign manager of Ralph Nader Christopher Driscoll said on this show, there are so many bubbles in the economy that are bound to burst. We'll discuss this, plus, the effects of income inequality are part of the new normal of capitalism; and of course, Bob will discuss why he is an Election Boycott Advocate, as well as some up-coming plans for a new show television show with a member/supporter of the Zeitgeist Movement.
On this episode of Carson's Corner, we welcome Harry Cason of the Zeitgeist Movement to discuss the up-coming People's Climate March and the October 5th, Zeitgest Media Festival, at the National Black Theatre, 2031 5th Ave., New York, NY.
Harry Cason has been teaching political science at the The City University of New York - College of Staten Island for over twenty years, and has been involved in the anti-war and social rights movement even longer.
Cason is presently writing a book on: U.S. Relations with Spain under Francisco Franco, and Spain’s Eventual Liberalization.
Cason is a member-supporter of the Zeitgeist Movement, because of its holistic-systemic response to the problems we presently face in the world, as opposed to the piecemeal and tweaking response that is typically offered-up these days.
On this episode of Carson's Corner, we will continue our analysis of the issues raised in Paul Street's new book, "They Rule: The 1% vs Democracy." We will discuss the dominance of the financial sector, and how we went from industrial to finance.
Yesterday, host Bob Carson wrote this statement for http://electionboycott.weebly.com/
In 2008, I supported President Obama (although I didn’t vote, and have never voted in an election) under the belief that President Obama was the alternative to the conditions we faced at that time. Shortly after his election, it became apparent that Obama was indeed a more effective evil in advancing the corporate agenda of the ruling class. He famously told Wall Street executives, the very people that melted our economy, “I am here to help.”
A wise man named Jacques Fresco once said, “Politicians are not elected to change things, they are elected to keep things the same.” Keeping things the same entails a furtherance of the corporate state, which makes life in America unbearable for those not in the ruling class. Since it is obvious you cannot work within the system for change, boycotting the elections is the most effective form of dissent. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again.
Bob will break this down further.
Well it seems that another "microwave hero" has popped to the top for Republicans. It looks like Dr. Ben Carson is taking a good look at running for the nation's top spot. Although Dr. Carson suffers from some of the very same lack of experience that Republicans contiinue to complain the the current president does not have. Dr. Carson is a doctor, a brillant Neurosergeon, but has zero political experience. As far as we know, he has never run a business, although in his position at John-Hopkins he was responsible for a staff of people.
There is little doubt that Dr. Carson is an amazing man with an amzaing story, but is that enough? We will bat it around today. Feel free to call and give us your thoughts on the matter.

CWT4R again this week will revisit a series that is geared toward the masculine identified lesbian with returning guest Kofi Adoma and the Jerry Palmer Group of Detroit. The conversation will again explore Identity and labels with a twist of social justice movement within the MIL community. The mission of the Jerry Palmer Group is to combine the talents of self-identified masculine lesbians into a cohesive effort to give validation, support and resources to MILs of all ages in the Detroit metropolitan area, as well as across the country where such support is needed. This grassroots self-reliant group specializes in educating the public about the social and cultural experiences of African American MILs and others of color because this is a population often neglected, stigmatized, and rarely highlighted in national discussions about the LGBT community. Since this is a self-help peer support organization, MILs serve as leaders in proactively managing the programs of this collective group. The JPG strives to collaborate and partner with similar groups such as Brooklyn Boihood, Brown Boi Project, Unity Fellowship Church Movement MIL Ministry, and Butch Voices to encourage participation in the intersected social justice movements where women of color are marginalized and disempowered. The show will feature three of the leadership cadre members, Elder Atiba Cohen-the elder of the group, Dr. Kofi Adoma (pronounced doe-MAH)- founding member, and Kunto Mawusi-the youngest in the group. Their aim is to share with you the purpose of the Jerry Palmer Group and how it was founded, the specific goals and target areas, who all is involved, and the importance of having a group like this exist in Detroit and elsewhere. The focus of the conversation will be on empowerment and visibility of MILs of color and ways to rally up their talents and skills to be of service to their communities, to each other, and to themselves.
This educational show is hosted by empath, Geraldine Palmer Bouse. It is dedicated to teaching gifted individuals how to apply, utilize, enhance and cope with their own personal unique gifts. Geraldine will address many topics associated with psychic abilities and will teach many ways of developing and channeling the gifts properly. This will also be a call in show.
