Doing my best to help the Lord set the brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men and to restore America, God willing, to the beacon of freedom she was meant to be.
Politics: How many candidates are there for president? Far more than the media lets on. Time to do our homework, America.
Religion: The Real ID Act - Slipped in under the radar and being implemented the same way. On this one, the ACLU has it right. Papers please?
Doing What's Right: Today I am asking for a little help for some friends. Nadi and Rose Qamar lost their house in a fire on March 28th. Nadi is 98 and has been a musician for nearly all of that time. Rose is very active in the right to life movement and their community. They lost everything but their lives and the clotheson their backs. The insurance will not cover the rebuilding, much less the replacement of their stuff. A friend of theirs has set up a GoFundMe account.

It's been a long time since the Republican race for President has been this crowded with qualified candidates. Unlike the last round (when the candidates were Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann and, uh, who was that third guy?), there are at least three solid contenders for the GOP nomination this year — and a slew of other maybes running as well. In fact, there are so many candidates, it can get a little hard to keep track. To help make sense of them all, we talked to Kyle Kondik of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, who ranked the candidates based on their chances. From the heavy hitters to the oddballs, here's who's most likely to be on the ballot against Hillary (and yes, it will be Hillary) come November.
The only three candidates for Fayetteville's City Council who are actively are working to repeal Ordinance 5703 Chapter 119 are John LaTour (Ward 4) Joshua Crawford (Ward 2) and Paul Phaneuf (Ward 1.) We will be interviewing these candidates asking them about their efforts to repeal as well as their qualifications.
The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT).
Last week we talked about the HR Technology “mic drop,” and this week we’re going to talk about how to use company culture to attract candidates.
Because it’s hard enough today to find and source the most in-demand tech talent. And with the high competition for these “holy grail” candidates, it’s not just the job that needs to stand out — your company must, too.
This means you need to learn how to build and communicate a company culture that attracts the best tech pros. Period. You need to develop a work environment that most appeals to in-demand tech professionals, and all professionals for that matter, and how you should effectively promote that culture in your social recruiting efforts.
When you learn how to build and communicate a work culture that attracts the most sought-after tech candidates, it means you know how to identify the aspects of your unique culture that most resonate with your target candidates.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-creators and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn how to use company culture to attract in-demand candidates with this week’s guests: Jim Stroud, Senior Director of RPO Recruitment Strategies at Randstad Sourceright; and Shravan Goli, President of Dice.

It is hard to believe, but no sooner the 2014 Midterm Election was over potential candidates for the next election cycle began coming out of the woodwork (some people would add like cock-roaches).
A couple of weeks before the November 4th election, someone asked me did I believe "vetting" possible candidates was a necessary ordeal? I quickly replied, "Oh, yes!" and promised to explain my believe in detail after the election. Today is that day.
Many people feel vetting is not needed and is in fact invasion of one's privacy. Others, like me, believe it is imperative to vett those "interested in running" for office.
Jump "In the Pickle Barrel" with us this morning as we explore the the need, the process, possible questions and more about Vetting Political Candidates. Ask your questions and make your comments by joining in the convesation via chat room or by calling in live at 855-236-2486.
See you at 8AM-10AM EST.

Cruz vows to shun negative campaigning
By KEVIN ROBILLARD
3/29/15 11:03 AM EDT
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is swearing off negative campaigning as he begins his run for the White House.
“There may be other candidates who choose to throw rocks in my direction,” the GOP presidential hopeful said in an interview aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I’m not going to engage in the personal mudslinging, in the negative attacks on people’s character.”
Cruz last week became the first Republican to officially enter the presidential race. But he insisted that, despite his reputation as an archconservative and a bomb-thrower, he had avoided personal attacks over the past two years in the Senate.
“In my time in the Senate, there’s been more than a few rocks tossed in my direction from Democrats and Republicans,” he said. “Yet in my entire time there, I haven’t reciprocated. You have never heard me speak ill of any senator, Republican or Democrat, and I don’t intend to start.”
The first month of the 2014-15 NBA season is complete and the early playoff pictures for both conferences look as predicted, outside of a couple outliers. We'll go over early MVP candidates, such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis and even Demarcus Cousins. The Philadelphia 76ers have also had quite the interesting start to the season, at 0-17. Will they win 10 games? And when will they get their first win?
Tonight marks the season debut for the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant, just one game after Russell Westbrook made his debut against the New York Knicks. Can the Thunder battle their way back into the top-eight of the Western Conference?
Census figures indicate growing numbers of Latino citizens, based on new births and new immigrants. On issues such as immigration reform, multilingual education and minority set aside programs for contractors, African Americans and Latinos often find themselves pitted against each other as rivals for jobs, contracts and economic resources. Among men, both groups are often the recipients of racial profiling and media stereotyping as criminals. There are white gangs as well as African American and Latino gangs, yet when issues of gang violence are addressed white males are not the targets of police crackdowns, black and Latino males are. Chicago Mayoral candidates Jesus "Chuy" Garcia and William "Dock" Walls address the relationship between African Americans and Latinos and how it will affect this year's election.
