The Prepared Canadian!
The Prepared Canadian Saturday *7:00pm/Est *6:00pm/Ct *5:00pm/Mt *4:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/ Most of the time we think of prepping as an endless loop of trips to various stores to stock up on supplies. Although this is an important part of being prepared, it really isn’t what we call “the prepper lifestyle”. Being prepared can be boiled down very simply to living without systems of support such as utilities and supplies. This week, we will take a look at how self reliance from these systems is the true meaning of being prepared. The prepper lifestyle really means being as able as possible to deal without these systems. We’ll take a look at the 3 basic categories of support systems and how a self reliant lifestyle is the true meaning of being prepared.Denob AKA The Prepared Canadian and his belief that preppers need resources from fellow preppers as well as support and acceptance from the mainstream population is so entrenched that The Prepared Canadian Podcast was born. He has made it his life goal to support preppers as well as educate all people, preper or not, of the importance of being prepared.Tags: The Prepared Canadian, Prepare, Self Reliance, Prepper Broadcasting Network

The Prepared Canadian Saturday *7:00pm/Est *6:00pm/Ct *5:00pm/Mt *4:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/ Feeding your soil is the most important aspect of successful gardening. Chemical fertilizers are not only an unnatural way of boosting nutrients, but also a very temporary solution, as nutrients are often quickly lost. Compost, also know and gardeners’ black gold, will not only help add nutrients to your soil, but also help retain them as well as moisture, air, and beneficial organisms. This week on The Prepared Canadian, we will celebrate International Compost Awareness Week, by discussing what is rotten in the state of your garden. We will look at the benefits of compost as a soil amendment, talk about building a compost bin, how to build your pile, and the various uses for compost. From top dressing to brewing compost tea, as many aspects of composting as I can fit into a show will be on the docket, along with two, no effort ways to get compost that I have found, quite by accident.
Tune in to find out the whys, how’s, and what’s of composting your organic waste into gardeners’ black gold!

The Prepared Canadian Saturday *7:00pm/Est *6:00pm/Ct *5:00pm/Mt *4:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/ This week on The Prepared Canadian Podcast, we’ll take a look at power. No, not the political type, but how t have enough power to get by during an emergency situation. A simple inverter, a few extension cords, some rechargeable batteries along with some common sense and power saving tips will get you through most of what will ever happen to you as far as power failures go. No, you won’t survive the rapture or a global EMP strike, but that’s not what this episode is about. Power from your car will give you all the electricity you need to get through power outages that last from 1 day to a few weeks. But, before we go into that, I have a bit of a rant that I just HAVE to get off my chest. So pull up a chair and have a listen.Denob AKA The Prepared Canadian and his belief that preppers need resources from fellow preppers as well as support and acceptance from the mainstream population is so entrenched that The Prepared Canadian Podcast was born. The Prepared Canadian Saturday *7:00pm/Est *6:00pm/Ct *5:00pm/Mt *4:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/ Is that a train you hear? Well, unless you live beside a railway line, it just may be a tornado! One might think that preparing for tornadoes in Canada would be pretty low on the priority list. After all, isn’t tornado alley in the US? The number of tornadoes in Canada as well as the breadth of the danger zone may surprise you. I’ll give you a few stats as to how many tornadoes we canuks can expect, look at some recent notable tornadoes, explain the fujita scale and what kinds of damages each tornado category can dish out. We will also look at what you can do to prepare for a tornado, even though there is little to no warning as well as what to do and what not to do during a tornado.
Are the skies darker than usual? Is there a funny color to the clouds? Do they seem to be moving in a circular pattern? Learn the warning signs of a tornado and what you as a prepper can be doing to get ready for this year’s season, which by the way, starts next month!

The Prepared Canadian Saturday *7:00pm/Est *6:00pm/Ct *5:00pm/Mt *4:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/ How well do you know our network? How did it all get started, who is responsible and why was it created in the first place? It may surprise you to know that the Canadian Preppers Network is really an offshoot of the popular American Preppers Network. This week on The Prepared Canadian Podcast, I am proud to bring you my first guest on the show, Tom Martin. Tom is the founder and CEO of the American Preppers Network. A long distance trucker by trade, Tom knows all too well about the fragility of the delivery network that brings all the necessities and commodities to the population. Back in 2008, he teamed up with what is arguably the first prepper network, the Texas Preppers Network and began to form the vast collection of blogs and forums that we have all availed to at one time or another.
Also this week, I have another editorial for you where I’ll give you my perspective on how the “AWKI” has been dropped from “TEOTWAWKI”, and what we should be concentrating on to keep the prepper mindset on track.

The Prepared Canadian Saturday *7:00pm/Est *6:00pm/Ct *5:00pm/Mt *4:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/ Wouldn’t we all like to have a few dozen acres of semi wooded, prime hunting land complete with fortified home, onsite water and off grid power? Well sure we would, that sounds like an ideal bug out location! The reality is there are very few preppers who could afford this type of property, but still want to have a place to go when the poop hits the propeller. Well, here are a few ideas to get you thinking that you CAN really get a bug out property without breaking the bank. Of course, it’s not free, very few things in life are, but there are some low cost options to consider. Far more likely are situations where bugging out for a few days, weeks or a couple of months is the best option, and worst case scenario. An epidemic hitting your town, a chemical spill at a nearby plant, general rioting caused by an unpopular political move are just some of the reasons you may want to get your backside out of dodge. How about a tornado, hurricane, or other event such as an earthquake was to take your home from you? Wouldn’t a predetermined location that is yours, set up, and within travel distance be a great thing to be able to fall back on?
This week on The Prepared Canadian Podcast, I’ll go over a few lower cost options that can help you get a bug out location set up including some tips on finding land and a few things to look for as well as shelter and supply cache ideas.
