John Bernard is the CEO/Founder of Bernard Wood Working www.bernardwoodworking.com. He began training in the trade at the ripe old age of eight, by his father's side in a small shop in their family basement. His father took on ‘side jobs’ to supplement his income as a Vocational School Teacher in the Everett school system, teaching cabinetmaking.
Throughout his school years Mr. Bernards worked as both a cabinetmaker's and carpenter’s helper. He learned everything from Architectural design, draftsmanship, framing and furniture making. It was still customary in the 1960’s and early 1970’s for a carpenter to know the whole of the trade. Specialization had not taken root yet.
After an initial 4 year enlistment in the United States Marine Corps, John returned home to pursue a degree in Management Information Systems and to re-engage in the trade. By 1979 he had established a construction business in Wilmington Massachusetts and worked to build a customer base and portfolio of work that included custom home design and construction as well as custom cabinetmaking and casework working throughout the north shore area with occasional jobs out of state.
In 1987, John and family moved to Maine where they currently live and work. John still works alternately in the residential construction market designing and building individual homes as well as the commercial millwork industry.
Throughout these years John remained in the United States Marine Corps reserve and served in the Gulf War, retiring in 2003. The Bernard family is active in the local church and works with the youth group there throughout the year. The whole family has worked to make the business work as they enjoy the peace and quiet of life in the rural setting of the Western Mountain Region of Maine.

Ken Collis, CEO of 21 Marketing
Ken Collis was born and raised in Sunny Southern California. From a young age, Collis knew he wanted to become a successful businessman. Monopoly was his favorite childhood game. Collis graduated from Cal State Northridge with his Bachelors in Business Administration. Through the early part of his business career, he was a partner with Bankcard Processing and proudly helped create Authorize Net. Taking the company public at the young age of 26 was no easy task especially with his partners being more than double his age. It was a learning experience that allowed him to propel into a Business Mogul that is still appreciated in the financial industry today.

Is there a power play between agent and talent? Is it still the Hollywood stereotype?
Roger King didn’t want to be a DJ… but he had a degree in Radio/TV broadcasting. So he honed his sales skills, was a good businessman as his own VO talent, got repped by PN Agency and then bought it when he had the chance. He knows both sides!
Roger offers nuggets of advice about talent communicating with agents,
Professionally being selective vs being “clever”… How industry changes and lots more talent entering – or saturating - the market had changed his job.
Roger King is the President of PN Agency, which provides voice-over talent to the radio, television, film, multi-media and animation industries and was founded in 1991, and now represents over 100 voice over talents & translators in more than 15 different languages. He blogs about the Canadian voiceover industry from the perspective of a talent agent at www.voiceovercanada.ca. PN Agency aka Performance Network Agency is the oldest non-union voice talent agency in Canada, with offices in Toronto and Montreal, representing local talent in those cities.
