THE IMPORTANCE OF NETWORKING
Hello…I would like to welcome you all to my first show here on Blog Talk Radio. Tonight we are going to be talking about THE IMPORTANCE OF NETWORKING which is the first in a 3 PART Series I am giving on NETWORKING. Our 2nd Show will discuss how to find a particular group or networking organization that you can join that fits your needs for networking and in our 3rd I will discuss how to network a room.
75% of all business is done by networking and 70% of all jobs are gained by referrals. Networking is vital in today’s world and its added value is well known. Networking means building relationships and takes patience and time. Networking is an attitude of engagement.
Networking is as important to successful business people as water is to the human body. Done on a consistent basis it leads to social currency and net worth. Networking is the LIFEBLOOD of prosperous entrepreneurs.
Networking saves time, makes you smarter and more productive, and eventually, people start coming to you. You become the “go to person” for solutions because you have the ‘network’ of resources with the answers.
On this program we will discuss the power of networking, and how important it is for true success. The concept of the world does not work, and is based on deception and lies. But principles extracted from the word of God will guarantee success.
On this program we will reflect on some of these principles, as well as health issues for a better living.
In an age when purchasing is done through RFP contests, recruitment by HR firms on LinkedIn, and business searches done online, is business networking really as important as it once was?
The short answer is yes, and I’ll tell you why.
A friend said to me once: “Your network is your net worth,” an idea advanced by Porter Gale in her book of the same name. I have realized that this sentiment is certainly on point, even if it’s not a direct equation.
Your network is a reservoir of value that will help you solve problems, receive support, find the right people, and ultimately grow your business. In an age where much more communications happen digitally, it is more important than ever to actually make human connections.

Networking these days is becoming more and more important for career related advice. It can be done at any age, any time. Networking should start with an elevator speech. The idea of an “elevator speech” is to have a prepared presentation that grabs attention and says a lot in a few words. What are you going to be saying? By telling your core message, you will be marketing yourself in a way that will make people want to know more about you.
If you want to network with people in a specific field, go to events where you think they’ll be – make your own luck. Opportunities to network may arise from planned events or spontaneously at on- and off-campus functions.
