Laurence Myerson, SMS Business Continuity & Disaster Mgmt.
by The South Bay Show in Current Events
Tags: Entertainment Culture Food Business Music
Our guest this morning is Laurence Myerson. Laurence is with SMS Business Continuity & Disaster Management Systems.
SMS focuses on major incident resilient communication systems and technology.
Due to the sensitive nature of our topic and his top secret security clearance, we can’t give any specific information on Laurence himself but we can tell you a little bit about the company and a program SMS has developed. In 2012, the entire system became 64 bit compliant taking it to an even higher level of efficiency and reliability. It was developed to be fully operational on phones and laptops without having any Internet connectivity or power requirements which is essential for any major incident.
SMS works with police and governments security sites, embassies and consulates, diplomatic protection, airports, first responders, ops rooms and control centers, emergency teams, emergency call centers, fire services, universities, major sports clubs and stadiums, museums and national establishments, transport companies and global businesses.
We can tell you that Laurence and his development team are a select group of unique individuals versed in this type of communication. Unfortunately most of what they do is under protocol specifics – which means, if we tell you anything more, we’ll have to kill you.

Changing the Meanness in Business
by New Energies of Business in Business
Tags: new energies of business Lisa Murray Kerry Purcell Meanness in business Stress
Traditional business views people as expendable, exhaustible and expensive. It's a structure where profits come before people, where people are often treated like machines, where there is so much judgment about what is 'right' and 'wrong' that people are afraid to be themselves and where bullying is rife! This approach creates stress, not ease and expansion. What else is possible?
This week I am joined by Kerry Purcell and we're going to talk about changing the meanness that rules business. What if people could be kind to each other? What if money wasn't the only valuable outcome? What if businesses that exhibit a generosity of spirit with their people could thrive?
There are so many possibilities for changing the meanness that exists in business! What would you like to create? What questions do you have? Send them in - either in the comments below or live on the call!
