Who's actually at the helm of where you are heading? Do you find yourself doing things you really never wanted to do, but your parents believed was best for you to do? How about your social activities? Have your "friends" convinced you that a night on the town somewhere you do not want to go is exactly where you should be? Are you sitting at the wheel of the bus or in the back waiting to see where others are going to drop you off? Or are you in total control?
We will be starting a series of Health Shows on AskTheTrucker "LIVE" addressing the health concerns of the professional truck driver. Health becomes not just an issue for a driver’s profession and career, but a serious concern for life and the quality of life.
Many drivers are plagued with health issues such as obesity, diabetes, sleep disorders, respiratory disorders, high blood pressure, arthritis, and others, including autoimmune diseases which are on an upward climb nationwide.
Join us as we discuss a few of the organizations and driver groups who we have aligned with within the industry, what they are doing to address driver health concerns, and how they are reaching out to drivers to offer help and support.
Read more via: Driver health info and support for concerned truckers.
Are you concerned about driver health or are you addressing your own or lending help to others? Come join the conversation!

The Light of Humanity Show - New York Bus Driver Darnell Barton Saves Woman on Bridge
Guest: Darnell Barton
Topic of Inspiration: On October 18, 2013, Darnell Barton, a Buffalo, New York bus driver was driving a bus full of passengers on the 198 Expressway overpass when he spotted a woman on the wrong side of the guard-rail. What happened next is a heart-warming and truly inspirational story that demands re-telling over and over and over again.
"Part of me said, 'Keep going because you have a job to do. But when I saw what was happening, I couldn't. Getting downtown on time no longer mattered. Helping her, saving her, getting her on the right side of the bridge, meant absolutely everything."
Our "Inspirationcasts" are good news radio broadcasts featuring people that are "lighting up the earth" in positively wonderful ways. We show people it's cool to be kind and the experiences that are created from these acts of goodness create magical moments and wonderful stories that demand re-telling and even re-creating.
