tabernacle teaching altar of burnt offering
Everything in the Tabernacle has significance and meaning. In 27:1, directions are given for the burnt offering; it was the first thing the Hebrews saw when they entered the Tabernacle. Sacrifices for sins were constantly made there, and the blood of a lot of animals was shed on that altar.
What is so very important about altar of burnt offering is that when Jesus died on the cross for our sins, being completely without sin and blameless, He became the very last sacrifice for the sins of God's people. His blood was shed once for all. The old way is symbolic of the new that was to come in God's Son.

Hosea 6: 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

1 Kings 13:1 And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of theLord unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.
3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.
4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
1Sa 15:22-24, “And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.”
Prophetic words from the Lord for February & March for the Church.
“The days of Elijah are upon you, and there will be a mighty demonstration of My power. But you must walk in the Spirit of Might with CONFIDENCE that when I tell you to do something, you will not HESITATE to do it! So I have you in the frying pan, that all that cannot stand the test will be burnt off, and that all that remains will bring forth MY LIFE, and that you will obey without any argument, doubt or hesitation, or procrastination. Jesus only did what the Father was doing. THAT 100% dependency on Father is what I am trying to build in you My sons and daughters, that every step will be ordered. Remember I said I will keep him in perfect peace whose MIND is STAYED on ME. And I said the steps of a RIGHTEOUS man are ordered by the Lord. You must appropriate My righteousness.
1 Hear ye now what the Lord saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
2 Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.
3 O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.
4 For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
5 O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the Lord.
6 Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
8He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
9 The Lord's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
10 Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?
11Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?
12 For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
13 Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.

Shemot/Exodus 32:1, 5,6
When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the L-rd.” So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
