Have you ever tried to lose weight? Were you successful? Did you gain the weight back? If you have ever dealt with any of these things, you are probably familiar with these common responses from friends, family, co-workers, and fitness "gurus": "Eat less, exercise more," "All it takes is hard work. Stop being lazy," "You have no willpower." Those responses are so discouraging, and instead of motivating you to go after your goals with determination they most likely make you want to run for a bag of chips or some ice cream. If it was really that easy to achieve health and wellness goals, we wouldn't see the prevalence of diseases and obesity that we see today. There are deeper issues. Only when we figure out what those issues are and find healthy ways to work through them will we be able to achieve our goals. Rachel Payetta is a certified health and wellness coach specializing in emotional eating, stress management, organization, and helping clients to build their self worth, self esteem and self confidence.

Back in the days when bullies roamed the school hallways, or lived on your block taking advantage of you or a friend. Bulling has evolved to the cyber world. Bulling has be the cause of suicides and murder in the 21st century. Let's talk about ways to help our youth.
All of us have experience some form of bullying from elementary school to high school, college, employees, employers, neighbors, and just plain ole downright mean people. Most bulling in the modern age has turned to social media to post negative comments, pictures, and manipulated pictures. Most of the time, they are unfounded or not true. And, if someone knows if a person is seeking employment with a specific company or companies, most bullies will go on a social media rampage to destroy the person. It is sad to say that most of these negative post are damaging to peoples’ lives, careers, and sometimes leads to some mass destruction or suicide. It is all because the bully or bullies try to persuade the public to an opinion of a person, and most of the time people believe what they read, see or hear without finding out if a statement or picture photo about someone is factual or hearsay. So, how do you confront the bully or bullies? How do we stop? ….Tune in to the New Jackie Blue Show. I wonder how Triple "T" handles Bullies?

Tonight's special guest is Patrick Dati from Chicago, a returning member of the NAASCA family, an anti-bullying and child abuse prevention activist. Destined to be a New York Times best seller, Patrick Dati’s “I AM Me – Survivor of Child Abuse and Bulling Speaks Out” is a shocking biography of a boy who was raped by notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy at nine and bullied throughout most of his life by an older brother. What did these experiences teach him? They taught him to hide—to hid his true gay self for most of his life. He lived to please others—especially his family—and so, to be one of us, he married twice, disastrously. His one joy in all these years was the birth of a daughter who became the light of his life. Patrick says, "I wrote this book because I am a voice for all victims of abuse. I know the pain and sadness that comes from keeping secrets, of “not telling,” of moving through life in the shadows so no one notices you. I know the despair that portends suicide attempts and the desperate and elaborate lies you tell yourself over and over again just so you can get out of bed in the morning. I was one of the 85% of all abuse victims who never speak of the unspeakable things they have endured." Patrick has moved on and now is living the life he always dreamt of for himself. Dati has found freedom and sums his life now in three simple words: “I HAVE SURVIVED.”
