BBR Host Bernie Wolford interviews Shira Krishnan, one of the founding team of EventYoda, an exciting new company being launched in the Bay Area, with plans to be in most major cities in the future.
Learn how this company will completely change the "team-building/event planning" space, as companies investigate and determine the best team-building alternatives for their employees. It is truely the "better mousetrap".
BBR plans to follow the launch of this early stage company with periodic interviews and status reports, beginning with this first show.
He follows the proverbial lines of being raised in the church and followed the typical Christian upbringing. The real story begins when he becomes a young adult and finds himself in the secular world of music and the opulent lifestyle of a drug dealer. Duran was enticed by the money and power that the R&B world had to offer. He has shared the stage with many artists such as R. Kelly, Lil Wayne, and other A-List artists. Along with the fame, there was a dark side of drugs, money, and women that would eventually be more than he could bear. While he was living in suburban Atlanta, Duran received a call which had him leave the house and soon after his home was raided. It was then that Duran realized he had not only been given a warning but a mandate to turn from that lifestyle and go back to his first works. Duran rededicated his life to Christ and announced his calling to minister to the masses. From this revelation, New Creation materialized with a mission to envelope and encourage young people to use their talents to edify and uplift the name of the Lord. Within the first 7 months that the group existed, they recorded with Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones twice for The Word Network and once for Black Entertainment Television Network (BET). Along with DBM, he is also the visionary behind a non-profit organization named Stretch Outreach Ministries. Stretch’s mission is to reach past our normal limitations to win souls for Christ. Mr. Buckingham is well on his way to stardom and is a very motivated and determined individual who is inspired by the scripture Galatians 6:9 which says “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” NKJ
Carson Buckingham knew from childhood that she wanted to be a writer and began, at age six, by writing books of her own, hand-drawing covers, and selling them to any family member who would pay (usually a dime) for what she referred to as “classic literature.” When she ran out of relatives, she came to the conclusion that there was no real money to be made in self-publishing, so she studied writing and read voraciously for the next eighteen years, while simultaneously collecting enough rejection slips to re-paper her living room…twice.
When her landlord chucked her out for, in his words, “making the apartment into one hell of a downer,” she redoubled her efforts, and collected four times the rejection slips in half the time, single-handedly causing the first paper shortage in U.S. history.
But she persevered, improved greatly over the years, and here we are.
Carson Buckingham has been/is a professional proofreader, editor, anthologist, newspaper reporter, copywriter, technical writer, novelist, short story writer and comedy writer. She loves reading and gardening; but not at the same time. Though born and raised in Connecticut, she lives in Arizona now—and Connecticut is glad to be rid of her!

Do you desire an intimate relationship with your Creator, but feel alone and empty? If you are struggling to feel loved and adored by your Lord, to trust Him and walk with Him in that inner, sacred place of intimacy, then Nourishments is for you! Nourishments is a daily, biblical devotional created to fulfill a hunger deep within for more, more of Him. Each of the 260 devotional segments is designed to lead the surrendered and seeking heart into a closer, more intimate relationship with Abba God. The devotional segments are meant to be read Monday through Friday, leaving Saturday and Sunday to dig deeper on your own, catch up on any devotionals you missed through the week, and attend church.
Nourishments was inspired by the “nourishments” that Deborah would give her kids, index cards on which she would write inspirational messages and place them in her children’s lunch boxes. "Sometimes the index card got thrown away along with the apple without being read, but many other times they would share with me later in the evening how the 'nourishment' spoke to them. In high school, my son would often tell me his friends would ask to hear the 'nourishment' of the day around the lunch table."
"My prayer is that the words found within the book will nourish your soul in such a way that you will thirst and hunger for more, more of Him," she says. Please come and sit at His feasting table and let Him nourish your soul!

Kim Kardashian is going to Saudi Arabia!
Rumors are circulating that she has accepted a longstanding invitation from a Saudi prince to spend an evening with him in exchange for $1 million.
An indecent proposal, perhaps?
Although a frequent visitor to glitzy Dubai, Kim's other trips to the region have not always gone well. In 2012, a trip to Bahrain to open a milkshake franchise sparked protests, with police firing tear gas to break up the demonstrations.
Let's just hope that Kim remembers to pack her abaya. We don't want her to violate the strict Saudi dress codes!
Meanwhile, the world continued to lurch from one ridiculous story to another:
* A surprise has been found in Queen Elizabeth's garden at Buckingham Palace: magic mushrooms!
* A Tokyo restaurant announced couples will not be welcome at the eatery on Christmas Eve because the sight of them would make single customers feel lonely.
* A Scottish police officer attempting to make an arrest on a farm had to call for backup due to his fear of cows.
* Authorities in New Zealand announced they seized a haul of imported moist towelettes that were found to be soaked in about a gallon of liquid meth.
* A pair of Egyptian men are highlighting the struggles of Cairo residents with a photo project featuring Spider-Man tackling everyday activities.
