Whether you are a vegan or just simply love good food, Bryant Terry is the ultimate chef to learn from when it comes to eating well and being a conscious consumer. Regardless of the fact that he is an award-winning chef and food justice activist, his creativity and inspiration make even the take out gurus want to explore the possibilities that exist in their kitchen.
His passion stems from childhood, growing up in Memphis, where his grandparents inspired him to grow, prepare and appreciate good food. Bryant completed the chef’s training program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in NYC. He has an MA in American History from NYU and a BA in English from Xavier University in Louisiana. From 2008-2010, Bryant was a fellow of the Food and Society Policy Fellows Program. For over a decade, Bryant has worked to build a more just and sustainable food system, and cooking has been an important tool for illuminating the intersections of poverty, structural racism and food insecurity. He uses the pleasures of the table to shift people’s attitudes, habits and politics in an effort to ensure that everyone in this country of abundance has access to healthful food.

Meet Author Honey Bryant as she talks about her book 'Wait Your Father Knows Best' on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 10:00 am. on the Christian Interviewer!
The essence of this book speaks to the authors journey during turbulent times, and single hood, while remaining relentless in her faith in God.
As a young woman she had hopes and dreams to one day marry. As she reached her senior years in life, it appeared as if marriage had passed her by. And when the season of singlehood was over, God in his infinite wisdom and his timing blessed her to meet the love of her life and married at age sixty-five. This is a testimonial to the unmarried, proving that marriage can be beautiful at any age.
Honey Butler-Bryant knows the true meaning of waiting on God for a mate. She began coordinating weddings for her immediate family in 1975. In time, she realized this was one of her passions in life and there was a growing need for her services, she became a Certified Wedding Coordinator/Consultant. Her desire was to one day plan her own wedding; she endured the passage of time and waited for her mate. Honey’s desire to plan her wedding eventually came to pass. God blessed her with a Godly man, a wonderful husband, Elder Clarion E. Bryant. They were joined in Holy Matrimony, April 9, 2011. She continues to coordinate weddings and social events in the Los Angeles area.
Both are retired, her husband is a student at The King’s University/Seminary where he is working on his M.Div. She also attends classes with him.
Honey is the mother of one adult son: Erik, adopted son, Rickey and granddaughter, Autumn.
