Two Moons Talking-Join us each Monday afternoon at 1pm central/2pm eastern

    in Spirituality

Join us today as we sit with our honored guests: Josette Peltier, Richard Milda and Keith Nichols. They gather with us to share their intimate look inside the Dakota 38+2 Ride. This sacred ride is a prayer that serves to honor the 38+2 Dakota executed by hanging in 1862 by order of President Lincoln. A tragic story not written in history books, the ride serves to honor the memory of those who gave their lives by encouraging hope, peace and reconciliation between all cultures. Grueling weather conditions do not stop the riders nor their horses who carry the prayers. They will complete the 300+ mile journey from the Lower Brule in South Dakota to Mankato, Minnesota to the hanging site fighting weather, exhaustion, and more. You're not going to want to miss this episode of Two Moons Talking with our very special guests!

Special Guest: Annegret James Rouse (Greek), advocate for the wrongfully convicted at Freedom4Yankton4 and TIPI Turtle Island Project Innocence (Part 2)

My name is Annegret (Anna) James Rouse, married to Yankton Sioux tribal member Desmond Rouse who has been incarcerated for 20 plus years on fabricated charges. It is through him that I learned of and became involved with the genocide in South Dakota's court rooms. Since then many more cases have come to light, many more people have contacted me for help and there is a very real demand for a Native American Innocence Project to meet on a level playing field.
