Michael Mahler is a former Sargeant in the Washington National Guard. He was enlisted in April 1993 and retired April 2014. He completed two tours in Iraq; 2004-2005, 2008-2009. Mikey says he joined the military because he "wanted to do my part, and always loved the military."
"Dr. Bridget Cantrell has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Nationally Board certified Mental Health Counselor. Her primary work encompasses therapeutic counseling for war veterans and their families. She is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hearts Toward Home International, a charitable non-profit organzation dedicated to the recovery and reintegration of trauma survivors. Before heading up the foundation, she spent her career working to provide medical care to low-income, uninsured individuals as medical director of the Shared Care Free Clinic of Jackson County (formerly the Jackson County Free Health Clinic). McCandless says her position at the foundation has married her love of medicine and policy and she works tirelessly on building a structure around the two.
